The food and service was amazing. Lisa our server was fantastic recommend dishes to us. My Boys loved each item they got. Son loved breakfast burrito said chorizo was tasty. The carne asada burrito was sooo good. Best street tacos I ever had especially the ground beef one so full of flavors.

L&B Mexican Restaurant I am very pleased we picked you to cater our wedding. You and your staff are very friendly and the food was AMAZING! I received compliments all night and many guests asked where your restaurant is located. You went above and beyond which made the evening feel more special. You made sure all tables were continuously stocked with chips and salsa and the food service was fast and well coordinated. We couldn’t be happier how smooth everything went. L and B Restaurant delivered a first-class service and incredible food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, a variety of tacos (carnitas, pastor, and asada), and a steak and shrimp wet burrito. The salsa’s we had were well balanced and a nice kick.Every bite was delicious, and we left full and happy. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend this wonderful gem.

Whenever I come to this place, I’ll feel like I’m actually in a real Mexican restaurant or a location in b. Southern california where i feel like i’m important, i’m a regular here in for the most part. This is the only Mexican establishment in all of southern California, which I can eat. They’re refried beans in rice period I have a word palette when it comes to beans and rice so yeah not everyone can make beans that I wood consume. We always seem to go oh on taco Tuesday. Yeah, the prices or really comparable, with every place that we go to or have went to in the last several years. I always get the hard chicken taco combo meal. 3 hard chicken, tacos, beans and rice. This place never disappoints they’re chile relleno, it seems ro be hand made and authentic flavors, their burritos are great sized and are very good. But the stand out the reason we continue to come. It’s because of Betty. She’s amazing. She literally remembers our orders.
No matter how special the order , Betty never gets them wrong period not that the other servers in the restaurant arent as good, I think Betty is one step above. I wouldn’t recommend getting your food to go because when it’s cold, it will not be the same quality and the portions seemed to be slightly smaller, nothing that I could finish but still slightly smaller. Overall, L & B will be the place i will continue to go to for the next several years or until I am likely to locate someone with better beans and rice,. So give them a try and be nice to the servers.

This is our first visit, and the two ladies here are very welcoming. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality and flavor of the food are excellent! I ordered the birria, and the meat was incredibly tender. We also tried the fajitas, which were delicious! The shrimp a la diablo was a delight as well. The green and red sauces added an extra kick to our meals. We highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

We live out of Town; anytime we are in Bakersfield we have lunch at L&B Mexican Restaurant.
The Chili Verde is excellent and very flavorfull. In fact the Salsa, child, rice, & beans are excellent. The homemade Flan is to die for!!
The greeting when we walk in is friendly, all the employees are better personable and very attentive.
Quiet and ylthr establishment is always clean.
Priced are reasonable.
I must say though that the price for a soda is high.
We always enjoying eating at L&B restaurant and already feel we have made a friend who always recognizes us .

L& B Mexican restaurant can certainly be recommended for having excellent food.
L&B opened over a year ago and has been doing good business since. The owners Lupe & Betty, are always there and they are the nicest people.
We came in for Mexican breakfast on a Saturday morning.
We both ordered chorizo con huevos, one with rice and beans, the other with potatoes and beans, meal comes with choice of tortillas.
Both of our orders were delicious, we ate it all.
Gabbie was our waitress, she did a outstanding job. We will be back very soon.

Wish I could give them 10/5 stars!!! Such kind customer service, and the food was amazing. Super flavorful, good quantities, and not over-priced. They were even kind enough to bring us a piece of flan on the house even after my baby threw up on their floor. They didn’t even flinch and helped us clean it up. we will be back regularly.

While in the city of Bakersfield you have to come try this authentic Mexican restaurant. The Birria tacos are a must, including the Chile verde with pork. The natural drinks are also a must. I’m definitely coming here again.
