I tried both the Margarita and Paloma – the Margarita was a bit too sweet for me!
I highly recommend trying the Brussels Sprout Street Taco!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
As a local resident, stumbling upon Holy Taco in Texas Corners was an absolute delight. Enticed by the National Margarita Day celebrations, we found ourselves immersed in an atmosphere that perfectly balanced professionalism with neighborly charm.
The service at Holy Taco was exemplary, with attentive staff ensuring our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, we felt welcomed and valued.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The Pico de Gallo was a revelation – bursting with freshness and flavor, it was evident that it was crafted with care right on site. Each bite was a testament to the quality ingredients and culinary expertise present in every dish.
Overall, our visit to Holy Taco was an unforgettable experience. From the inviting ambiance to the impeccable service and delectable food, it’s clear that this establishment is a true gem in Texas Corners. We’ll definitely be back for more!
For starters, the chips and salsa were lack luster to say the least, in spite of what looks like seasoning on the chips, there was no flavor AND bad enough we didn’t even finish the bowl…..you know thats bad because who doesn’t blow through 2 bowls of chips at a Mexican restaurant?!?
There are basically 2 choices on the entire menu; bowls or street tacos with meat variations as the only difference.
I settled on a bowl due to lack of other choices and ordered one with only rice, steak and cheese.
My daughter ordered 2 street tacos. Why we waited over 40 minutes for that small simple order is beyond me, only for mine to come out as a normal steak bowl NOT with just the rice, steak and cheese as I ordered.
By this time, I asked for mine “to go”
More waiting as it was remade. Finally, we get the bill,(which was not discounted in anyway) my take home bag and head home.
Shocked is one word I would use to describe what I took out of the bag; frustrated, irritated and disappointment are a few other words to express this horrible experience.
Look at the pictures!!!! There is barley a cup, if even, of rice and this portion looks like maybe something taken as left overs, certainly NOT the full price dinner I paid for!!! Unbelievable!!
After 2 bites I quickly discovered it wasn’t worth the plastic cup it was in.
If you still choose to give this place a try, you can’t say you weren’t warned and advised to make your own tacos before wasting your time and money here!!
There were 5 of us and we ordered a total of 17 tacos. They brought like 3 trays with random tacos on them vs each order separately on separate plates so as we’re going through which taco is who’s, we realize that we’re missing 3 tacos. They apologized and brought the 3 out but we did have to point it out. If your group is larger than 2, I’d pay close attention to what’s coming to your table.
Favorites: carnitas, shrimp, chorizo (we ordered all except the chicken and brussel sprouts one). Def order the pico and queso!
Overall, cute spot, drinks were great.
Tip: go early to get your name in for a table (they’ll call your cell).
I was impressed by the chips, which is good since you pay $7 for chips and salsa. 3 styles of salsa, green, hot and hot with smoke flavor. None mild. I’ve had better salsa flavor almost everywhere. Not very good.
The fish taco I tried was very bland. Almost tasteless. The shrimp taco was better.
Everything had a bitter, lingering flavor that was unpleasant.
I did not feel very satisfied over all. The food looked very fresh. Service was good. Serving time was quick.
There is nothing here for children, I wouldn’t suggest bringing them.
The name is Holy Taco. There are only tacos but I’m rating them as purgatory. They should explain the holy part and the 3 drawings of nuns on the wall, which is odd.
I still feel like I’d like my dinner now.
I prefer a place with warmth and yummy food over the cool &bitter atmosphere.
Although if you want tequila and mixed drinks this is a place for that.
