My first time at a HOT Pot Restaurant. This
was an awesome experience. The staff members were very helpful in showing what to do, sharing there favorites and giving feedback on what I ordered. I really enjoyed my visit and my food was very flavorful and the free ice cream at the end of my meal was a nice treat. I recommend giving them a try if you’ve never had HOT Pot before.

Another new malatang spot has arrived in the SGV — and this one’s in the East!

Location:
This brand-new malatang restaurant is located in Mandarin Plaza on Gale Ave, right by Nogales, directly across from the 99 Ranch Market plaza. It’s tucked into the back left corner of the parking lot in its own little standalone building (not attached to other shops). Parking is plentiful, but like any SGV plaza, it can get hectic in the evenings. Be prepared to circle around a bit.

The Setup:
When you walk in:
• Left side → Dining tables, some counter seating, and even a semi-outdoor patio.
• Right side → Grab an empty pot + tongs, pick out your ingredients, and head to the food counter.
• Also on the right → Drink bar where servers mix up drinks.
• Far left side → Cashier counter where you weigh your pot and pay.

They’re running a fun promotion right now: if you guess the cost of your meal correctly, you get a discount. Plus, they have a rewards program for points, discounts, and even little souvenirs for regulars.

⚡ Service:
Super fast and friendly! Servers brought water and utensils right away, and food came out in about 5 minutes flat. Very smooth system.

Food:
I went with the collagen bone broth — flavorful, rich, and the perfect base for all the ingredients. Honestly, the broth was the highlight and tied everything together. My friends (who are already regulars here) swear by the tom yum broth, which they say is their go-to every time.

✨ Overall:
A solid new addition to the SGV malatang scene! Clean setup, quick service, and flavorful broths that make the ingredients shine. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a solo hotpot fix.

I have been to more than 10 malatang places in the past few months. This has to be in the top 3 ( most likely top one ) out of all the malatang places I have been to.

One of my favorite Malatang style hotpot restaurants in the SGV. Great, clean atmosphere. Lots of fresh selection. BEAUTIFUL POTS and TONGS! Great sauce bar. Delicious selection of soup bases. Free ice cream any time, and free drinks during happy hour. Open very late.

Karina and Issac really made this trip special! Talk about holding our hand thru the whole process as new customers. The patience, the enthusiasm and the FOOD!!! The food was so good! I was full and KEPT EATING because the flavors were so good! The sauce bar had sauce recipes posted so you could concoct your own. What a gem. First time customers turned into loyal fans.

We tried this place for the first time after hearing good things about it. It was pretty good and they had a pretty good variety of food to put in your soup. The best part would be the ice cream at the end. The service was good but they don’t want you to self serve the ice cream, they want to do it for you.

Trying a new Hot Pot spot with my baby boy. Definitely a new experience for me. I like the option to customize your meal. Lots of interesting food options. We got there at noon and it was BUSY! But we got a table and our food relatively quickly. The ice cream dessert was a nice treat at the end

Make your own hot pot. Good selection of meats, veggies, seafood, and noodles. Choose from 8 different soup base for your own hot pot. Has a sauce bar. You also get an ice cream cone. But you have to request one! On Monday through Thursday you can guess the weight of your personal pot. If you guess right it’s free! What fun!!!

The sacha broth and miso broth look almost the same but taste pretty different surprisingly. However, the AC circulation in here is weak and it feels stuffy. The majority of the AC flow is concentrated in the bathroom only.

I also think that they need to add more public use tongs/add notes stating if the tongs are for meat only, since i noticed a thin layer of oil floating on top of the water the rice vermicelli is stored in

For $14.99/lb, the food cooked is ok. I appreciate the clarification that the food is weighed without the pot weight.

I had a great experience here! You choose exactly what you want and then weigh your pot. There are over 80 ingredients, so it’s really fun to build your own hot pot.
After that, you pick one of 10 broth bases and your spice level. The food came out super fast — I was impressed!
They offer both regular hot pot and dry hot pot. There are also a ton of drink options to choose from, which was a nice surprise.
If you guess the weight of your pot correctly, your meal is free — such a fun promo!
The space is super clean and modern, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
They also have a free parking lot, which is super convenient.
And at the end, they give you free ice cream — and it’s actually high quality. Definitely recommend!
