Little Gem! The front of the restaurant is unassuming. However it is like stepping back in time to good ol supper club days. We arrived early by 5pm and sat at one of the bar tables. The place just started filling up. It came alive with the local and out of towners. People were friendly, laughing and having a great time. Only one bartender, but she could make a mean old fashion with a smile! The food arrived fast and HOT by our server Barb. The best fish we have been too in a long time. We have tried several fish frys all over Wisconsin and Borlands tops them all in friendly service and yummy food done right!!

My Grandpa would come and eat here many nights after visiting my Grandma in the nursing home. And before that he would get fish on Friday’s when I stayed at their place when I was a kid! Then after Grandma passed, Grandpa still liked to go there. Then after my kids were well past grown, Grandpa and I would come for Friday night fish and a drink. There wasn’t anything fancy, but good food, good service and good prices. It’s too bad the hours are so limited. I would love to come have dinner here with my husband on a Wednesday night!

The Fish and coleslaw was really good, but wish they had an alternative for French fries. That was the only option for a side on Fridays. A salad or even baked potato would have been nice and easy options. Cash or check only (no credit cards). The prices are reasonable.
