Food: Wow – I’m not typically a bagel gal but these bagels were amazing! They were so thick and chewy and paired perfectly with the avocado and eggs. It was so delicious that I had to come back again the next day for the exact same order and it didn’t disappoint!
Service: Very kind and attentive staff. Service is also pretty quick.
Atmosphere: Both indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the decor and cozy vibe inside as well spacious outdoor option.

Sunbeam, as combined with the Owl, fills a much needed gap in our community. Easily the best bagels in the bcs area, sunbeam is a great location to grab breakfast, study, or meet with friends. The bagels are chewy and flavorful, and they have great drink selection. Plentiful seating, although it can get crowded during finals season. Highly recommended!

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop. The coffee is amazing, the food is just as good, and I have truly never had bad service—not even a hint of it. Everyone here is genuinely so kind and welcoming.
The atmosphere is always on point. The space is aesthetically beautiful while still feeling cozy and comfortable. The bar attached is equally as vibey—my husband and I frequent it for a great burger and the occasional “train” beer. The cocktails are also incredible.
They have an amazing covered outdoor patio, which makes it perfect whether it’s raining or sunny out. I honestly can’t rave about this place enough—I’m here multiple times a week.
As someone born and raised in Bryan–College Station, I’ve seen a lot of places come and go, and this one is here to stay. It’s truly one of the good ones. Perfect for community coffee, double dates, birthday hangs, study sessions—the list goes on. Highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already.

Atmosphere:
From the outside, you can see it shares its establishment with The Owl, but dont let that take your eyes from the completed mural on the storage container, great photo opportunity! Upon entering, you can see all the baristas meticulosy working on orders and then greeted by the cashier. The Sunbeam Side roughly has a smaller intimate seating, compared to the vast size of the owl (great for lounging/reading/studying) which it shares, but wait there’s more, there is also an outside covered porch area if that suits you.
Service:
Aside from the intial greeting, when I ordered my meal, they gave me a number and prompted to sit anywhere and the food will be brought. I ended up choosing The Owl side, due to wanting to read after my meal. Soon after, an employee came with my meal and asked if anything was needed. Upon finishing my meal, another employee came over and was able to pick up the empty dishes. The service that I appreciated the most was that of talking to one of the baristas and having them share some knowledge regarding latte art.
Quality:
I ordered the bagel sandwich and the Shakerato. The combination of the egg/bacon/cheese with the flavor of the bagel was really good. The bagel its self had a dense texture and sandwich was very filling. The Shakerato (Shaken Espresso, cinnamon, brown sugar, and oat milk) which was presented nicely, had a great flavor profile. The combination of all the ingredients were gretaly enhanced by having it cold.
Fili’s Fave:
Although a small gesture, but speaks volumes of their passion for their craft, is the fact that they provide you the drink in a dedicated latte cup and providing various independent retail coffee bags. One of the few establishments who do this and promotes the coffeehouse atmosphere.
Although, The Maple Leaf Latte is pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.

I know it gets said a lot but I never write reviews…I usually try to give a resteraunt the benefit of the doubt however my experience this morning was not good at all. I came here with my two daughter to pick up some bagels for breakfast. The reviews were good, so I figured it was good, there was a bit of a line but it went pretty quickly. Once inside the girl took our order quickly, we ordered 2 regular bagels with cream cheese and an avocado toast, then 2 hot chocolates to go. We sat and waited, and waited and waited. The hot cocoa’s took 30 minutes, they were barely warm and the cup was half foam. Then another 30 minutes passed waiting for our 3 bagels to come out. We could have ordered food at any other bagel place to go twice and gotten our food faster than we did here. Over an hour wait for 3 bagels is crazy. Not to mention if you own a resteraunt where the customers can see straight into the kitchen you might want to make sure that your employees don’t blow their nose and then not wash their hands before touching all the bagels going out to customers….yes that happened. He kept wiping his nose, no gloves used at all and then grabbing bagels to give to the expediter. There are quite a few bagel places in the BCS area so I would recommend going to any of the others before coming here unless you want to wait forever. The food was ok the bagels were a little stale tasting, cream cheese ratio was good…but the egg on the avocado toast was basically raw. Bagels can’t be that difficult guys.

I never leave reviews, but my wife and I have been going to Sunbeam weekly for almost a year now… they are truly stellar. The bagels are perfect. The sandwiches are so flavorful. And the coffee is some of the best in town. They are a wonderful business, and we happily give them our money!

I want to love sunbeam but about half the time they mess up the order and/or burn the bagels. We go nearly every weekend and generally get takeout. It’s cheaper than zeitmans and I wanna support a local spot. But every other time they screw it up. Ordered half a dozen bagels for a charity org event – half the bagels were so burned they were inedible. When they get the bagel sandwiches right- they’re absolutely fire, but it’s a total crapshoot. Usually they forget an ingredient, or put the wrong cheese on, etc. and seriously, the burning- 1/2 times all you can taste is burnt. A total shame. If they would just quality control they’d be amazing.

Tried it for the first time because of the good reviews, but was kinda disappointed. The avocado toast bagel had the smallest amount of avocado I’ve ever seen. I felt the same about the amount of cream cheese on the other bagel. Both bagels also tasted like the seeds were burnt, so it was definitely hard to eat lol

We have family in New York City, so our expectations for bagels in Texas were quite low. We were delightfully surprised! Hard on the outside, soft on the inside, like real bagels should be. If we weren’t sitting outside in February, we would think we were in NYC. Entry can be a little crowded, but it was worth the wait.

Best bagels in BCS! Very fluffy and big with multiple options. The coffee is also really good with plain and specialty options! Love the interior, and it’s a great place to study! There’s a variety of wooden and cozy seats with colored windows and a cozy decor.
