Amazing bakery.
I was leaving the gym and crazing a sweet treat. I google bakeries near me and this was the closest one. I’ve always passed by it but never went in so I decided to check it out. I was blown away.
The interior is cozy and well lit. The range of products was incredible. They had so many prepared foods that I can’t wait to try. I bought some of the best smelling soap I’ve ever smelt (smelled? Idk).
The service was incredible as well. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Overall an amazing experience and I can’t wait to try more here.

One of the top bakeries I’ve ever had the pleasure to live near! They have so much more than just baked goods. Really nice selection of food and every kind of product imaginable to perfectly compliment your next dinner party. (I picked up a delightful hand forged cheese knife here that I simply adore!) They have cakes, pies, cookies, ready made frozen meals, party food supplies, alcohol, dishes, and on and on.
It’s now part of my weekly routine to head into Kudzu’s bakery to pick up their chicken pot pie and breakfast bakes. (And usually a sweet or two!) Hands down the most delicious chicken pot pie I’ve had from anywhere, ever! The breakfast bakes are so delicious. The Pecan Sandies are the best I’ve ever had from anywhere! The Caramel Pecan Chocolate Cake is without a doubt my favorite cake from anywhere! (I’ll warn you now: If you only get one slice, you’ll want to cry when you get to the last bite of your cake because you didn’t get more!) Honestly, everything you try in here is so yummy. I swear you can taste the love put into the products made here. Tastes like homemade from scratch dishes with premium ingredients.
If you live in the area and haven’t been to this gem of a bakery, what are you waiting for? If you don’t live in the area but you’re anywhere near the Columbia SC area in the future, be sure to take time to find Kudzu Bakery & Market Columbia. You won’t regret it!

Wonderful experience. Lovely gift shop, friendly and helpful staff, and yummy sandwiches (I’ve tried chicken salad and egg salad so far). It has become one of my new go-to spots for a delicious and reasonably priced lunch!

Lots of fun things in the store but they are pricy. The baked goods we bought were good but feel they should have been better considering the prices.

My sweet coworkers brought me a pecan pie from this bakery yesterday and it was one of THE BEST pecan pies I’ve had in my entire 50 years of living! Absolutely perfect! Thank you!

While visiting my friend for Christmas in the Columbia area, she got a desire for gingerbread cookies. After a Google search we decided on Kudzu bakery despite it being a considerable distance away. We called first to verify they had gingerbread cookies on hand and they kindly offered to put some aside for us. We browsed the market when we got there and it is a very lovely store. The staff was also friendly. We bought 8 cookies and it was $22. When we got home we were shocked to find small, cute, but identical, mass produced cookies. They were dry, crunchy, and tasteless. They were not made on site and Kudzu Bakery should be ashamed of selling such a product. $2.50 a cookie! I wouldn’t pay $2.50 a box for them in a major grocery market. This was my first and last visit.
ADDENDUM: I did take the owner up on her offer of a refund. They cheerfully complied and I’m very happy about it.
