This isn’t where I’d normally end up, but based on the reviews and location it seemed unfair to ignore the Rebar. Other than the name on the building there was nothing about this place that was political. Regardless of your affiliation this is a good bar with great service, good drinks, and a decent view; although, if you want a better view go upstairs to the roof top bar Sixteen.
This was my first bar I stopped into at Chicago and Fernando, the bartender, gave me a great experience that set the bar for the rest of the trip.
I got a Purple Rain and a Generation X Old Fashioned. The purple rain is basically a gin fizz, one of my favorite cocktails. The egg was frosty enough to sweeten the drink, but not meringue like a Ramos (my actual favorite). It was delicious and easy to drink.
The old fashioned was mildly smokey, with a sweet touch. A good combination for a smooth beverage. If you want a cocktail, a quiet bar, friendly staff, and a nice view this is a decent spot to stop into.

Stopped in at Rebar for happy hour and loved it. The atmosphere was sophisticated and relaxed. Absolutely loved the bartender and cocktails. There was a sufficient spirits assortment for tequila and whiskey for enthusiasts. I would definitely go back!

Rebar is a chic, high end bar on the second floor of Trump Tower. It overlooks the river. Reservations are preferred but if you’re there just for some drinks, there are dedicated tables and of course the bar itself for those dropping by. That of course also depends on how busy they are. The service is phenomenal and our bartender, Diane, was lovely as ever. She served us when we were at 16 Terrace a couple of years ago and even remembered us!
They have a full bar with lots of exotic cocktails, wines, and liquors. If you order shots, you will be served a double. Prices seem to average 15 for that double shot. This is a great spot to stop before going out on a night on the town if you prefer to have dinner at a less expensive place. As far as bars go, this is one of the more affordable ones I’ve been to in Chicago. Dress code is business casual.

It was no people today, I like this place just to chill and have some talk.
It just a bit expensive, my hub took 2 drinks, I took cranberry juice, and we got spicy tuna rolls and nigiri 2 pieces with edamame and we paid with tips $127.
So just heads up , but overall is nice view, calm , clean and good vibe.

One of my favorite meeting places! Amazing views, luxurious decor, chill atmosphere. A bit on the pricey side, so if you’re on a budget, it’s probably not the choice for you. Drinks are on the strong side, which makes it great for casual meetings, or a pregame for a night out. Staff is friendly and attentive.

I was expecting something tacky with poor quality food for the money. I was very wrong. The fish quality was spectacular, and even though much of the food was American the nigiri was very good. I did not like the fact that popcorn was served as a free appetizer as it felt cheap, it is a chicago thing.

Great afternoon happy hour. Snacks are good as well. Friend plantains and Sriracha popcorn (very good!) Staff is extremely friendly and not rushy or pushy. Great views of the river too.

Great views but not super innovative drinks. Come here for a chic night out. Our host was happy to change out seats when our numbers increased. The waitresses were a little slow but it was a Saturday night and I expected that. They served us olives and popcorn, the popcorn had rosemary and I wasn’t its biggest fan. I tried the gin and clove drink, tastes a lot like whiskey, good option for whiskey drinkers. I would come here on an off night to enjoy the space.

The best bar in town really! Our server was Juan and he was always on top of his game. He explained the drinks to perfection and was always there when needed, but not pushy. The view is amazing. The atmosphere is great. You could come all dressed up for the night or pretty casual and it’d be fine. They have a good food menu, which we did not try, but heard it was good. They give you small snacks with your drinks which was perfect.
