I stopped by Tita’s Kitchen on a voyage from Lubbock, wandering the highways like a hungry explorer looking for treasure, and let me tell you — I struck absolute gold.
First came the chilaquiles, and good gracious they were packed with flavor like a mariachi band crammed into a phone booth. Every bite had the kind of kick and soul that makes you pause mid-chew and just nod at the table like, “Yep… this is the good stuff.”
Then there were the potatoes. I don’t say this lightly — these might be the best potatoes I’ve ever tasted. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, seasoned like someone’s abuela personally supervised every single cube.
The beans? Smooth, rich, and comforting — the kind that make you wonder why beans anywhere else even bother showing up to the plate.
And the brisket… mercy. Tender, smoky, and so good it almost made me emotional. If brisket were a sport, this one’s making the all-star team.
But what really seals the deal at Tita’s Kitchen is the people. The staff are so friendly you start to feel less like a customer and more like a cousin who showed up right around lunchtime.
If you find yourself rolling through town hungry, do yourself a favor and pull into Tita’s Kitchen. I came in as a traveler from Lubbock… and left feeling like I’d just had Sunday breakfast with family

Without a doubt, the best Mexican food I’ve had. The service was as good as the food and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you’re served.
Parking can be a challenge, but I would gladly park and walk to get there.

Coming from Houston it’s hard to find amazing and genuine Mexican food when I go out of town. This one was the best I’ve had hands down, the food, the staff, and overall hospitality of the place make it feel like home. Take the suggestions from the staff and you won’t be disappointed. Every lunch I’ve had no matter how busy it got I never felt like we got looked over or pushed out the way, they make it happen, I appreciate yall for making me feel at home even so far. Definitely will visit again once I get the chance.
Try the tortas, quesadillas, Gorditas, and enchiladas

Ordered 3 burritos, and took around 40 minutes to get them, waitress was rude and food is OK at best. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to wait this long for food and bad rude customer service.

Traveling across the country and Googled “breakfast near me” after we packed up the camper to get on the road. What an excellent place for breakfast. The place was exceptionally clean, the service very friendly and, most importantly, the Huevos Rancheros was delicious as was my wife’s Migas Burrito.
