We got 9 dishes. The combination chow mein was surprisingly good. The honey walnut prawn was a good portion and nice and crispy under the sauce. Their take on broccoli beef was refreshing, not boring.
Someone in the reviews said the peashoots could have more garlic, and while not bad, I’d agree that they could use either some more salt or garlic.
I preferred the pork xlb over the crab meat xlb. We also ordered their special golden shrimp roll. It was delicious and fresh, but it was not that special. I must be missing what makes it a special.
The pig-shaped custard buns were cute and delicious. They gave us 3 different colored pigs; we wondered if they had different custard flavors but they were all regular custard. I would get them again.
We would probably try their strawberry chocolate xlb for dessert next time!
It was an enjoyable dinner, and we would come again!
I had the shrimp and pork potstickers, the pork soup dumplings, and the bone in rib noodles. The rib was the best part of the whole meal. Very well done and seasoned very well. The noodles were good very thick and soft but the broth was very very lack luster. It brought the whole meal down. It was brown broth but it tasted like nothing. No flavor to it. We left it basically untouched, except for the rib.
The potstickers were okay but the wrapper barely held together, falling apart shortly after moving it from the serving plate to my main plate. The soup dumplings were just okay as well. I have had soup dumplings elsewhere that I prefer. I thought they lacked seasoning. It was decent overall. Very hyped up to not impress me personally.
Everything was good. The noodle soups, pot stickers, green beans, soup dumplings, cucumber salad. The sautéed veggies could have used more garlic.
Would definitely come back when in the area. The parking lot gets full since there are a lot of places to eat here.
And also they were dropping things everywhere, a waiter drop a plate right next to my pant and spilled a little over my pant, without apologizing. And among their workers, they were yelling at each other, for what I don’t know. Because I don’t speak their language, atmosphere was just wrong and noisy. I don’t think I will come back just because of their service.
We ordered XLB (piping hot, soupy, and flavorful), potstickers (crispy + juicy), garlic noodles (nutty flavor, al dente), and bok choy (honestly didn’t need the bok choy but it’s delicious too). Happy to come back another time to try other items. Seating is on the tight side and the lunch atmosphere is super lively.
