One of the best Mexican restaurants around. My husband loves the tampiquenas, and always has to come here when he’s craving an enchilada. I like the grilled shrimp, you get a lot of shrimp for the price. Can’t go wrong

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant you’ll find within 45 minutes! I always judge a place by its salsa, and the three they brought out with chips were all delicious ,salsa truly sets the tone, and they nailed it.
I had the fajitas cielo, mar y tierra, and they were incredible…packed with flavor and served with tortillas, guacamole, salad, rice, and beans. Very filling and worth every bite! My husband ordered the arrachera burrito and absolutely loved it.
The horchata was another standout…perfectly sweet and refreshing, not watered down like so many places. Everything from start to finish made this a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I bought a Torta de milanesa…and it was the worst Torta I have ever Tasted! No flavor, overcooked and hard bread, overcooked and hard Milanessa de Rez, the thinnest peace of meat I have ever received on a Torta. I really wanted to like this place…but if they continue like this they will be closed like all the other places before them in no time. Would I go back, I doubt it…

Arrachera Mexican Grill has been exceptional since the moment I walked in. The service is amazing, friendly, fast, and they’ve treated me very well every time. I even got a free sample of their quesabirria, which came out quick and was delicious.
The consomé that comes with the quesabirria is rich and full of flavor. Not too strong or too light, just a perfect balance. A lot of places struggle to match their consomé to their quesabirria, but this spot really nails it.
The green salsa is creamy and pairs perfectly with their tacos, which are priced very fairly. Some places nearby charge close to $5 per taco, but here the prices feel perfect for the quality and flavor you get. The red salsa isn’t exactly my flavor palette, but that doesn’t take away from how good the food is overall.
I ordered the quesabirria, an arrachera taco, a chorizo taco, a torta cubana, and flan. Everything came out fresh, well seasoned, and full of flavor. The arrachera was tender and the flan was the perfect sweet finish.
As a Carpentersville native, I can honestly say this spot stands out above other established Mexican restaurants nearby. Better quality, better flavor, and better prices.
They’ve only been open about five months, but Arrachera Mexican Grill is already one of the best new spots in town. Highly recommend.

This was my first time going to this restaurant. My mom invited me since she had been there before with friends. I ordered a steak burrito with no tomato, toasted. It was good for the first few bites, but toward the end of the day, I started not feeling well. I ended up getting food poisoning and I’m currently still dealing with it. Very disappointed with my experience.

Honestly one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Tacos de alpastor from el trompo (which is rare)& the arrachera is flavor. Sauces are so good I took some home.

Was sat very fast in the server was great. Food came out in a matter of minutes hot and fresh got the burrito and it was absolutely delicious. Reasonable prices won’t break the bank. This is a spot we constantly always come back to.

We heard it’s a great spot, so we had to try it. Came in with a family of 8, and everyone came out happy. Chilaquiles verdes (green) are a bit spicy but tasty. We will come back again with the family.
