This is a local institution that has some of the best fried chicken in the basin go after 4 PM to make sure that the fried chicken is available and JoJo’s super delicious. We tried it with the North Carolina hot sauce this time and it was delicious! Always a great place great service, attentive bartenders and delicious cooked food. Definitely try it out if you’re nearby.

It often smells like a bad drain in the kitchen or bar area or a pee smelled comes from the bathrooms. Depends on the day. The staff is adorable and the owner is a well rounded sassy human! Often the food has brown lettuce or plate tomatoes. The depo fried menu is good, but I would love to see the area get a little deep cleaning and a facelift. The vibe is great and the place can be Poppin at times!

Happened to come in on the unveiling of their new cocktail menu. The Basil Watermelon Marg was really yummy but could have used a little more tequila for my tastes. But the staff was so, so nice! We enjoyed talking to both bartenders on our 2 visits. They were very friendly and cute. Over the 2 visits, we tried the burgers and fries, chicken wings, and Jalapeño poppers. All were good!

But seriously, this is a great place to hang out. Everyone who works here is friendly and fun to talk to. This is mostly a beer drinker’s bar and there are only three taps but if you’re nice to the bartenders they’ll make any drink you ask for. And the food is damn good. The owner is working her butt off classing up the joint and she is simply awesome.

Met Benji at the gas station asked best the best place to eat in town as we were just passing through she recommended the water hole and the works burger, boy she didn’t disappoint one of the best mom style burgers you’ll ever have definitely worth the stop.

Took a ride to try the great burgers we’ve heard about. I got a cheeseburger & fries. The meat was great & juicy. My husband had the big burger stuffed with the “cheese bomb.” Multiple cheeses inside & on top. One lady doing it all bartender, waitress & cook. She warned us the big burger took 20 mins. Worth the wait!!!
Played some music, met some locals & had a great day!
The dinner special was Lobster Mac & Cheese. I ordered one to go! Oh my!! Friggen awesome
