When we heard The Wheel was offering delivery our office put together an order asap! They arrived on time and the food was excellent as always. It was all packaged and labeled so everyone could easily tell what was theirs. I did not get alot of pictures of the food after everyone grabbed it. I had The Ryder and it was yummy and full of meat and fresh veggies. The most popular thing my coworkers ordered was the Italian Sub. They all said it was great. We have one vegetarian and she said hers was really good but she wished she had some hummus. The amout of fries they give you is insanely generous! I don’t know how anyone could eat them all. They arrived hot and delicious They did not skimp on the condiments or the pickles. The cheese curds where a big hit and the ranch is addictive. We will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

After finishing my work shift for the day, I was recommended this place after I did some searching of local restaurants that were nearby my workplace. Once I stopped in and walked inside, I was greeted instantly by the staff with a, “Hi! Welcome in! We’ll be right with you!” It’s nice to be acknowledged when walking into a restaurant.
Before I got here, I had looked up their menu, so I knew what I wanted the moment my server was asking me about what drink I was going to get. I had selected the Italian Submarine, which had salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomatoes, and much more! I also asked for Mozzarella Sticks and the sauce that came with it was hot, which doesn’t happen normally unless you tell them in advance. As for the sandwich, it normally comes cold, but I asked for it to be prepared a little warm, but not toasted. Sure enough, when it came to the table, it was just how I wanted it to be.
Overall, the experience was pretty darn great, I must say. Even though the place wasn’t as crowded when I was eating there, it was probably due to the fact that they were closing soon, which is at 4 pm and I came around 3:25 pm – 3:30pm. I’m sure this place is bustling with people around breakfast/lunch hour.
Try this place if you’re in the area! You won’t be disappointed! Also, there’s plenty of places to park, so that’s a BIG plus.

I’ve been here all my life and once I tried the sandwich I knew I had to ask who were the owners. I asked the lady who was working there and she told me the story about how they are family members of the people who used to own the old cheese wheel from 10+ years ago and it blew my mind. Cause I’ve been always looking for a good sandwich since they left…. And now I don’t have to anymore. 🙂

Was told that there was a new sandwich shop next to the theater. Think it’s the latest incarnation of The Cheese wheel that has been in Saint Augustine for years in one form or another. Ordered a Reuben sandwich and received it in a normal time of about 10 minutes. The shop was very clean and the staff was very friendly! The sandwich was priced fairly and was very good! Looking forward to going back and try another delicious sandwich! Shop Local, Support Local, Eat local! Florida Man Approved!

This is one of my very favorite lunch spots! Delicious and fresh food served fast! The staff is always friendly. The turkey ryder is my go-to order. I am here about once a week, it’s so good! This place closes at 4pm every day so go for lunch. Their fries are also my favorite.

I wanted to like this place because the workers were so friendly and it was packed at lunchtime on a tuesday. We ordered the Ryder, New Yorker, and Tuna Ryder as well as their mushroom bites appetizer. The sandwiches were just okay; they were pretty plain. The appetizer was very good but we got a very small portion of mushrooms for $8, maybe 8 mushrooms in total. Their homemade dressing was good but it was an oil and vinegar base which made the sandwiches soggy. The size of the sandwiches was also surprisingly small. I provided a photo so you can see in comparison to a ranch sauce cup container. The customer service was excellent, everyone was polite and kind, but the atmosphere was giving grocery store deli waiting area. There was also no wifi (on purpose because they want people to talk to each other). Overall it was okay but for $10 per sandwich I just expected more.

I grew up eating at the original Cheese wheel and was so excited when I heard The wheel was opening!!! I took my kids and everything was perfect! The food was so good and we enjoyed everything we had! The service was just as fantastic! That Ryder still just hits the spot! I highly recommend!!

Tried The Wheel for Lunch today. Awesome Food!!! The Sandwiches were loaded with Meat. We had the Turkey Rider and the New Yorker both were as I remembered them. Damn close to the Original Cheesewheel! I’ll have to come back for the Cheese Cubes. Thank you for a Wonderful Meal and We Will definitely be back soon!
