Our flavor is inspired by our home town of Puebla, Mexico and a touch of Veracruz, Mexico. These two states are filled with beautiful culture that exudes originality and tradition and we take from this to inspire our delicious plates and bring a little taste of our home to you. Amazing food and friendly staff! My new go to place for Mexican food. Love all the different meat options. The desserts look fresh and amazing, can’t wait to try. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Not too much indoor space so could be a challenge for large parties, plus they prepare everything as takeout. Highly recommended!

Amazing taste, and friendly service. I suggest placing an order by telephone as order could take a while. I’m so happy to have a good Mexican restaurant so close to our home. Delicious torta de cochinita pibil, xtreme burrito with green salsa on the side (topped with cheese as in pic), and tamales de mole. Delicious and kid approved. It’s to-go only, and I suggest paying cash as the menu says 4% discount if you are paying cash (as of Feb 2023). Amazing offers for breakfast too as shown on board.

Spot seems pretty nice overall, especially since it’s brand new. Everything is very fresh and clean inside. Staff is super friendly and nice. They are still very fresh as well still getting familiar with the menu and the process of everything. Not really much seating to actually sit and eat your food on site. Menu has lots of nice options, prices aren’t listed which seems like a strange trend. Lots of good drinks on the menu too which is nice. This time passing through I just picked up some chips and guacamole with salsa. It all tasted very good and flavorful. Guacamole was citrusy which was nice. I ordered 4 red salsas and 2 green and got the opposite of that which was unfortunate cause the family wanted red and only I eat green salsa. They also have a bit of a upscale bougie vibe so you’ll be paying a bit more then back in the neighborhood. Overall nice spot, thankful for another good Mexican food spot for tacos & burritos on the east end of Ventura. Come check out The Taco Shop for yourself today.

A quaint spot, with amazing customer service and delicious tacos. My family had the Asada combo and there were no complaints. The corn tortilla was recommended to me with my Asada order and I am happy it was. The tortillas are small but filling, the addition of the rice, beans, and chips make this delicious masterpiece worth every bite.

This place is AMAZINGGG!!! Try the Chilaquiles torta!! It is delicious!! The food and atmosphere is great. It’s a small place but packs a huge flavorful punch! Try it next time you’re in Ventura!! The cashier is awesome and gave great and friendly service. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The food itself is really good. It’s a small place about 3 tables pricy but a good bit confusing but you’ll get the hang of it. The shrimp quesadilla was really good. 50 bucks for shrimp quesadilla 3 taco combo and 2 horchatas.

They took about 30 minutes to make the food while I waited in front of the register, by the time I became impatient, I then asked them how much longer my food was going to take, and the same girl who took my order then look at the lineup of bags ready, to then show me that my order had been sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes. By the time I got it, it was cold. Wasn’t worth the $25 it had cost me. The girl who took the order, was very sweet, even attempted to get me a refund, but clearly the owners have other priorities. Not coming back.

The vibe of the restaurant is nice. It gives off kind of homey cozy vibes which is attractive to most. But I ended up waiting forever for one burrito and chips. Which by the way, there were only a baby’s handful size of chips in a bag meant for an adult ⚰️. On top of that, people that came in after me got their food before me which was an order of a few burritos when I only got ONE!? So to my surprise of walking into a nice Mexican establishment I ended up with a mid tier burrito and enough chips to feed a hampster. It would be safe to start double checking your orders before you might get robbed like me!
