This sandwich beckoned to me. Before I knew what was happening, a bite of tender pork and flavorful chili’s appeared in my mouth. Then, this picture was taken to commemorate the moment I had what was likely the best sandwich to have ever existed. My partner and I split the cemita and chilaquiles and, despite our best efforts due to our immenent hunger and beyond tasty food, took enough leftovers home for 2 more meals each.

Philly is home to a vibrant Mexican population and with it authentic fare for the adventurous and those seeking authentic flavors without publicity. This place has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Just picked up a chicken burrito and steak tacos. The burrito is HUGE and packed with the perfect ratio of chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and some fancy, delicious cheese. The steak tacos are also a very large portion and come w a side of perfectly cooked vegetables. I will certainly be able to get 2 full meals out of each entree. I wish I knew about this place sooner because I will definitely be a regular here. Very satisfied and happy!

I’ve been ordering here for more than 3 yrs now. At first I didn’t even know they sold food here, I just passed by to grab some groceries. The food is always good, and the portions are always big. I usually order by the pound. It comes with you’re choice of meat, side of veggies, rice, tortillas, and salsas! In my opinion their roasted veggies are delicious. If you don’t like anything on the menu ask for their specials! The owner is always nice about letting you know all the options they have. Oh, and definitely order dessert! Love the tres leches cake!
