Placed our order for family of 5, grill cooks steadily talked trash about how much bacon they had to cook, continued to talk about our order being too big and the heavy set lady running the register chimed in and said “well if anything is said, customers ain’t always right here and will quickly be told to leave” and laughed about the entire situation. When leaving asked how everything was, and when we told her everything but the trash talking was good, she called us goofy and said she was talking about a different customer that they supposedly forgot the bacon for… But it was clear it was about our family because he said hope nobody else has an order due to my entire grill being filled with bacon!

The hashbrown’s were amazing, however the service and management was terrible, we have a family of 5 and everyone ordered extra bacon and the whole time were there the cooks were talking shit about how much bacon they had to put on the grill, we had to get up and leave before finishing our meal and as we paid the manager asked how our experience and I replied good other than the fact yall talked crap about our order the whole time and she called me goofy and tried to say they was talking about another family whom they supposedly forgot the bacon on their order which is also not how a manager should act in front of any customers trying to enjoy there meal, we will not eat at this establishment again, and may as well deterred us from any waffle house period.

I have NEVER been in a waffle house and the people are amazing. Food was off the charts, so good. They are amazing here my husband and I have been there many times since moving to Hartwell. We love it. Will be going back again and again.

We went to the Hartwell Waffle House at 7pm on Thursday Nov 21st. It was full so we waited for a seat. While waiting we noticed no one was cooking, some had food and some did not. After several minutes a guy walks in and gets instructions from the waitress and begins cooking. Eventually a table was cleared and we were seated. While the cook was cooking, our order was taken and drinks were brought. After the cook finished the order he was working on, he disappeared. After several minutes the table behind us noticed we were looking around for the cook, they commented that it took an hour for them to get their food. We waited a few more minutes and still no cook. We went to the counter paid for our drinks and I mentioned to the waitress that the cook disappeared. The said yes, he disappears alot. We went to the fully staffed Huddle House down the road. We have been to this Waffle house several times, our previous experiences were very good. This review is only to make management aware of this specific Cook that is costing you business.

Really lovely staff at the Waffle House (shout out to Shartera and Tamrah) with true southern hospitality. Someone in our group has a severe dairy allergy and Tamrah literally brought us the containers so we could see the nutrition labels and then cooked that meal on a different flat top to avoid any butter contact.
