How wonderful that Cru is open this weekend (special Valentine’s Day pop up)! The curated menu lives up to the reputation of this vibrant (yet approachable!) destination. Grace, the bartender, makes an ahhhmazing espresso martini and gives great drink recommendations!

We truly don’t have words to describe how incredible our experience with Cru was for our intimate wedding at Grand View Lodge. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation, delivering the best food we have ever eaten. Every dish was crafted with such care and attention to detail, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients that took classic flavors to an entirely new level.

The cocktails were just as impressive—thoughtfully curated, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. The entire experience felt like a dream, from the cozy, elegant ambiance to the impeccable service that made us feel so taken care of.

Cru made our wedding feel truly special, and we are beyond grateful. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, whether for a special occasion or just an unforgettable meal, look no further.

Good food. Nice atmosphere. Okay service.

I had the patty melt, on the waitress’ recommendation. It was really good. The sourdough was thick and perfectly toasted. The patty and dressing were delicious. The fries were similar to McDonald’s fries. Battered fries would be great on this menu.

My wife had the buffalo chicken wrap. It was really tasty as well!

Our waitress was really personable, got our orders right, and made good recommendations. There were some long waits in between seeing her though.

We were actually supposed to eat here last night and had a reservation. It was supposed to rain, and when the reservation was made the rain concern was assuaged by saying we would be moved inside to the pub nextdoor in case of rain. Well, we arrived at our reservation time and it started raining, and they said the pub was full, so they said we could order takeout or just leave. Definitely disappointed with that experience.

Overall, a good place for a leisurely bite to eat, but not dependable in inclement weather.

We ate at this restaurant for dinner with a bachelorette party. Our party was 11 people, and they were able to accommodate us all on one table. Our group was assigned two servers for the evening. The restaurant is in the basement and has a very cozy and intimate feel.

It was really cool to see the wine cellar along the back wall. The wine list is very large, everyone was able to find something they liked. There is a full bar on site as well. We had a great time and I really enjoyed my chicken Milanese.

We had an enjoyable evening for 4 of us for dinner. The food tasted very good and I would have given 5 stars except for the portions! Quite small for the prices. Two of us had the so called, “Rack of wild boar” which consisted of 2 very tiny chops nicely presented. A lot of character, not a “Rack” of meat at all, for $57.
Lobster Gnocchi, again very tastefully done but small portion for $52. Generally overpriced food, and yes we do live locally!

An excellent fine dining experience! The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The Filet Mignon was a perfect medium rare. The carefully crafted cocktails were exquisite! I heartily recommend dining at Cru!

Great service, food and drinks were excellent. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. There were a couple large groups when we visited, so we were offered a more quiet corner table, which was greatly appreciated.

We had the filet, gnocchi, and venison tenderloin as a group of 4. All were phenomenal and the service was excellent. In the past few years, we’ve never been disappointed with our food and look forward to each visit!

Stopped in at Cru with a party of 7 for dinner. Cru is ostensibly one of the nicer dinner options at the Grandview Lodge, but I was thoroughly disappointed with both the quality of my meal and the service that was provided. You’ll note that on the menu, Cru invites you to “Enjoy your first (bruschetta) on us.” At the start of our meal, our server brings a plate of 6 bruschetta to our table and leaves. We clearly had seven people at the table. So someone just doesn’t eat one. We weren’t going to call someone over to the table over one piece of bruschetta, but that set the tone for what was a thoroughly forgettable meal experience. Throughout the meal, the server just kept acting as though they were just going through the motions instead of responding to what was actually needed or wanted or was happening at the table. I ordered the Cioppino, which was very unsatisfying. The meal was not substantial at all. Many of the pieces of fish were served with just the shell and no actual fish inside. A piece of advice to Cru: this dish can be improved by serving it over pasta. At least then customers can eat the pasta and not leave the restaurant hungry. Save yourself some money and skip the meal at Cru, my experience there was very disappointing and I would not recommend it at all.
