Ermis’ at Frydek looks like an old gas station converted into a little hidden restaurant and bar in Sealy, TX. It has some rustic charm and a nostalgic feel. They definitely get a lot of local traffic, but if you are passing through Sealy on I-10 and need a place to grab a bite, I definitely recommend trying them out. There is indoor and outdoor seating and super friendly service. My only concern is the chicken fried steak. The steak we received was a very think slice of meat and not cubed steak like it should be. Ryan Winslow was scheduled to play at Ermis’ at Frydek last weekend, so we went to hear him play. We were not sure what to expect with the food. We watched plates coming out of the kitchen and were very impressed with what we saw. We both ordered chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes. The food was made from scratch, portions generous , and tasted delicious. We were able to enjoy the sunset, which was beautiful too! This place is a gem.

We have enjoyed working our way through their whole menu. Food is made fresh from your order. A nice mix of choices from jalapeño poppers to artichoke dip appetizers….. from Ruebens to Pizzas…. Burgers, fish, salads, wings etc…. Special dishes and desserts. Great, relaxing, small town atmosphere,,, Excellent attentive staff… Great outside porch to plop into a chair and break out a cigar… Fabulous family (couple) run eatery out in the country; and, she does catering!

Ermi’s overall was good. I had the Chicken Fried Steak and Mashed Tators, covered in white gravy. I believe taste wise, it was very good. I thought the serving was relatively small, considering the price point(maybe add a side). I also had the Peach Cobbler and ice cream, which I thought was very good. The waitress was great, friendly, and attentive. I love small country cooking type places like this. My only suggestion is to make sure your food is super desirable, so people will go out of their way to come by and eat.

Small group of us went after some hiking in the SFA State Park near by. The pickle chips are outstanding and their sandwiches are also excellent. Nice portions and service was great. Excellent outside seating area. Give them a try.

Passing through the area and found this GEM…. Our waitress was absolutely amazing.!!! The food was great. Two of us had wings and the other had a huge salad. We all really enjoying ourselves. I look forward to swinging through here again very soon.

We stopped by after a hike and I’m so glad we did! Lisa greeted us as soon as we walked in and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious…especially the burger! Already looking forward to going back.

One of the best Rueben sandwiches I’ve ever had! so flavorful and HUGE! The fries were also amazing paired with the perfect ranch even the coleslaw was delicious and I don’t usually like coleslaw! We will definitely be back!

If you are traveling from Houston to San Antonio on I10 and want a great lunch stop try Ermis at Frydek, just past Sealy. It’s located in an old gas station and they make their food from scratch. Amazing onion rings, Ruben with generous corned beef and great chicken tenders. I heard they also may have crayfish in season. Check them out, off the freeway a little but amazing!
