We were looking for a place for lunch and found this one on a Google search. I highly recommend it. It has a tiny dining area so I suspect most of their business is take out, but service and recommendations were excellent. They had a special mango curry at present which was magnificent. The drunken noodles also had the authentic type of noodle as opposed to what is typically offered. Highly recommended and very well prepared.

Real Thai food. Their Khao Soi is the real deal…and I have been to Chiang Mai where Khao Soi is renowned. The cook, Phitsamai cooks dishes to order. The ambiance inside the restaurant brings me back to Thailand. Recommend !

The waiter was very nice, and the food was delicious. The place is small, and it seems that most of the flux is for to go, so it makes sense. My wife and I got a pad thai, it was good it has vegetarian options, so overall a good place to stop by.

Tasty food and good service, but the billing was very disappointing. The prices on the check were higher than what was listed on the menu. I was told the difference was due to a credit card service charge, but by law, any such fee must be clearly disclosed—and there was nothing on the receipt explaining it. Additionally, the cash total versus card total didn’t add up, even when factoring in the stated taxes. On top of that, the tip was calculated after the said service charge and tax were added. What could have been a good experience ended up feeling unfair and misleading.

After a day of driving around the island, we just wanted to grab good Thai food to take back to our hotel room for dinner. Basil Thai popped up on Google Maps, but it was on Fort Street Mall, which is a a walk-up-only street. DON’T FOLLOW GOOGLE MAP directions for driving there bc they try to send you to a parking garage that is very difficult to enter. We ended up finding another parking garage a block away (Mark’s Garage entered from Pauahi St, $7.35 for one hour). There’s probably street parking that’s cheaper, but there are so many one-way streets, it’s easy to go in circles and get lost downtown!
Anyway, the young man who took our order was very friendly and helpful. I chose panang curry, and he recommended the cook’s special addition–mango. Delicious! My husband got his favorite, pineapple fried rice, and we were very full and satisfied after eating. The restaurant itself only has about 6 tables, very casual, so it’s clearly more of a takeout place. So worth the trouble to get there!

Simple place but the food was spectacular. Evidently the chef had food trucks with a loyal fan base for a while then landed here. We had the place to ourselves except for a few door dash pickup. Tasty and affordable.

I recently visited this Thai restaurant, and the atmosphere felt a bit more like a fast-food style place—good for a quick meal rather than a long, sit-down dinner. Good place for lunch.

I ordered the drunken noodles, and while they were good, they weren’t what I was expecting. Coming from Southern California, where there are a lot of fantastic Thai restaurants, the flavor was a little different from what I’m used to. There were tomatoes and grilled onions, which was a unique touch. The main issue was that the noodles were stuck together and not separated, which was a little odd

However, the price was reasonable at $17 out the door, and I appreciated that they served water in a cute cup. The service was excellent; the woman who helped me was incredibly nice and very fast to bring out my food. Overall, it’s a solid option for a quick and affordable meal.

Absolutely amazing food and the owner is so kind! The mango sticky rice was the best I’ve ever had and the seafood eggplant dish are incredible. 10/10 would recommend and will continue to come back here!

This place is a fantastic find! The atmosphere is great, the service is quick, and the menu has some really creative specials that you won’t find at your typical Thai spot. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for high-quality food with a fresh twist.

Finally open and worth the wait!! Easy menu with everything from appetizers, salads, curries, noodles, rice dishes, and desserts. Pick your spice level! Especially great to have northern thai food that is hard to find elsewhere like the Khao Soi. Everything we had was great and they’re so nice. Great addition to the Fort Street area.
