We are a family owned farm that has been in operation for over 100 years with 4 generations contributing to it’s success. We have a farm stand on the property that sells native vegetables and fruit open seasonally July to October. We also operate a seasonal restaurant and ice cream stand. At Christmas time we offer customized decorated wreaths and fresh-cut Christmas trees from Nova Scotia. Farm stand is open 7 days a week 9am to 5:30 pm. The ice cream stand serves food Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday noon to 7. We are open for ice cream 7 days a week noon to 9pm

Ok giving it a low score because i ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough but there were like 3 cookie dough chunks and literally NO chocolate chips in the whole ice cream… and i paid almost $10 so i felt ripped off. Ice cream itself was really rich and creamy but yeah that ruined the experience for me.

I do wish they could charge $1 more or something to put cheese in the kids grilled cheese. It’s like eating dry toast.

Went here with my family and it was great! It took a bit for the food to get here but it was SO yummy! I got a cheeseburger with bacon and I could tell it was nice and fresh. The burger buns were soft and the patties were flavorful! After we had our lunch, we got our ice cream. I got a Minnie Mouse Sundae and it was delicious! You can choose which ice cream flavor you want with it, and in my opinion I think oreo is the best! There were crunchy and sweet oreo chunks that were very good! And the view of the farm was VERY pretty, The farm was huge! It was nice enjoying a nice meal with a nice setting. I definitely recommend John George Farm and Ice Cream Shop. It’s a perfect place to go for lunch and ice cream!

Ordered the Banana Bread Sunday and it was Supreme. Enjoyed it so much that I got a chocolate frappe to go. Didn’t taste the food, but the ice cream, atmosphere and service were ALL 5 stars. In fact, for what it is- it is under priced.

No chocolate, vanilla, or coffee ice cream. I get it, business gets busy, but how don’t you have any more of the 3 basic flavors?? Husband got a waffle bowl with 3 scoops, that was overpriced and not worth the price. It does have beautiful views and plenty of seating and parking. I just personally wasn’t impressed.

So many ice cream flavors, so little time. Nice way to have dessert and eat it while sitting at covered picnic tables, field tables or Adirondack chairs. The view of the farm and the setting sun is wonderful. The staff is top notch, kind and considerate as well as helpful.

The ice cream is first rate. The parking lot has plenty of room. What is really nice is the outdoor space. They have Adirondack chairs set up on a nice spacious lawn. Plenty of room to social distance while enjoying a sweet treat.
