I dont even know where to start. 1. The food was amazing best Mexican food i have had in a long time, the menudo was probably the best in Springs so good. The cheese in the enchiladas just melted in my mouth. It is my birthday weekend so I got the barbie drink and it was so tasty, the Michelada was also on point. But the family and the owner is what really made it a great experience l, her daughter’s work ethic really made me cry she loves what she does. I will definitely come back and cant wait till you put another one south.

Many of us in COS are always on the hunt for a good, authentic Mexican restaurant. I’m Mexican and originally from CA so I grew up having several good options available to me, but as many of us know, it’s a little more challenging here in the Springs….. until now.

My husband and I decided to try La Patrona Mexican Restaurant #2 today for lunch. We were met with a friendly hostess whom we later learned is the owner and the amazing chef (kudos to women owned businesses!) and were seated right away. They have a great selection of options, we started off with their freshly made guacamole and for lunch, I decided on the “Queso Birria” tacos and my husband went with the Enchilada plate with ground beef…. and oh my gosh, these plates did not disappoint! I don’t think I’ve come across another establishment that sells birria and birria this good!

There’s a famous restaurant known for its birria in Zamora, Michoacan, Mexico called “La Pantera Rosa” or The Pink Panther in English and their birria is phenomenal, I think it’s even known worldwide for it… well, the birria I had today reminded me of them. Oh, and you have to eat the jalapeno.. it’s the icing on the cake!

I had the Birria tacos and house made horchata. Both were super good. The atmosphere is really cute. The background music was perfect. The whole place had a really nice vibe. The service was excellent and the people that own its are wonderful. The only small negative is the 4% upcharge for credit cards. Bring cash!

I would give 5+ stars for service. Keissy’s service is absolutely the best we’ve had since moving to the area 4 years ago! We live”up the hill” and stop somewhere for lunch everytime we come down. I gave 4 stars for the food because veggies in the caldo de rez (beef soup) still needed to be cooked longer. It was very tasty, though. My daughter had the birria rellenos and they were very good. Very nice inside also.

Phenomenal new spot for birria, tacos, enchiladas, and all your Mexican favorites!

Party of five went there, 2 kids and 3 adults. We got enchiladas, quesabirria tacos, carnitas tacos, and carne asada. EVERYTHING was great. Seriously the best birria I’ve ever had.

We also had margaritas and horchatas – fantastic. Everything was homemade and you can taste the love and passion.

For dessert, we got the mini conchitas. Fluffy, sweet (but not too sweet), and full of flavor.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I do want to start off by saying I am a local small business supporter and it is worth a try. I was very excited to come and try this place the day of grand opening. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. As soon as we arrived we were seated, but we were not taken care of until maybe 15 minutes later. They did serve a couple that came in after us and that is when I did become bothered. I am very understanding, it was grand opening but it was not packed up busy. I communicated to one server I was bothered and if I can get a booth all the servers seemed to just look at eachother. We didn’t get a booth until maybe 10 minutes later and it was not because they were filled they just needed to be cleaned up. Adding on, I asked about their shots, since I seen on TikTok they would be provided all day grand opening day. The server did go around and offered shots to everyone and definitely missed me knowing I had recently asked. She understood I was upset and brought my husband and I four shots. The food was okay, my husband did enjoy it. Our server did ask if I had any recommendations and I was very verbal about my concerns. She did offer us bread as dessert after to make up for it. I did feel my husband and I were being very ignored throughout this whole experience. I personally would not come again after my unfortunate experience.

@Tracee Helmns:Just tried this place today AMAZING!! The Birria pizza was so good and PACKED with Birra, I couldn’t even finish 2 slices. The owner Kaci is so sweet, she checked in us multiple times and had a genuine conversation. You can tell she truly cares and appreciates her guests. The drinks are killer and you MUST try the dessert cart.

This is my new favorite Mexican Restaurant. The food is so fresh and delicious. The portions are great. The agua frescas are the best. The food came out quickly. I look forward to coming back. Underrated.

The place definitely has potential, though there are still some kinks to work out. The decor is stylish and inviting, and while it’s a smaller restaurant, the ambiance is pleasant, though the music was a bit loud for the space. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly, but it did take quite a while before anyone came to take our order. A very sweet young lady eventually came by, but unfortunately, she spoke so softly it was difficult to understand her. Even after politely asking her to repeat herself, I still struggled to hear, which made things a bit awkward. She also didn’t check on us much, and we had to go to the bar to ask for the check, something that ideally should be handled at the table.

I ordered the chile relleno birria, but what I received was just a regular chile relleno, and it was lukewarm with a more soggy coating. I only had a few bites before my stomach felt unsettled. On the other hand, the tacos carbon had good flavor but were quite greasy. The standouts of the meal were definitely the birria waffle fries and the salsa, both were delicious. Overall, there are some bright spots here, but a few service and food consistency issues to iron out.
