This place is a hidden gem, the food is authentic I always get the grio complete which is fried pork chucks with delicious fatty parts, fried green plantains, rice with beans inside of it, and a spicy slaw called pikliz. I order from them once a week. The rice is always delicious. The plate is a bit pricey $22 (cash only) but it is a very large portion, me and my man share a plate and have left over rice always. The place is more of a take out place than a sit in but it’s always fresh and never takes longer than 15 min. I highly recommend

I really wish they would offer more gravy/juice for all of the rice that we get please, when I ask for gravy, don’t give me a tiny bit in a tiny cup-but rather give a sufficient amount bc I don’t like dry plain rice
Also the grio plate which costs $20 something dollars, there was lots of fat at the middle and bottom of the scoop of meat, I don’t like that. It feels like I got conned, jokes on me.
I’ve been coming here occasionally for many years and this usually doesn’t happen.
The food was good overall.
Idk..

I didn’t go in, had someone else pick up the food for me, however, the food was pretty good. Definitely an upgrade from what they use to serve many years ago . The presentation of the food was nice, everything neatly put. The taste is pretty good. Parking is an issue-there’s usually nowhere to park since they are next to a mechanic shop-the shops cars fill the parking lot. it’s always a hassle getting blocked in or having to move to let someone out. Would love to have some sweet plantains as an option. The current plantains remain me of bitter unsweetened cornbread.

My bf introduced me to this restaurant. I eat Haitian food regularly and didn’t know about this place. Bf is Haitian so he speaks creole and orders for me. We usually get fried griot only or a complete with rice and beans and salad and another order of griot only I LOVE THE FOOD! It tastes oh so good. We haven’t been in over a month but we’re coming!

Be careful ordering from this place!! Their menu prices online are a lot less than what they charge you at the store. They only take cash!!! They always say it’s just only today but it’s a cash only no receipt establishment. The numerous times I’ve been there it’s always cash only. Today I questioned the discrepancy in the price I was charged is a lot more than the prices displayed online in their website. I was told take it or leave it that’s the price, and the online prices are wrong. No apologies, just very rude and very disrespectful attitude.
