On my ongoing quest for the best burger in Edmond, I came across Patties on Google Maps and decided to give it a go. No hype, no gimmicks — just good food.
The vibe here is real simple — think classic, old-school burger joint. No trendy decor or overdone branding — just a straightforward menu and a focus on the food. And honestly? That’s part of the charm.
We ordered burgers to-go, and they held up great. The patties were clearly not from a distributor, which is rare these days — they had that fresh-ground texture and real beef flavor. You can taste the difference.
Prices were super reasonable, making this a solid option if you’re craving a legit burger without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for something fancy, this ain’t it. But if you want a solid, old-school burger made right — this place delivers.

Location was easy to get too and close to UCO.
Had the chicken fried steak, loaded fries, and hamburger. CFS was great.. large size and could easily be shared. The sides I got were okra and rings. They were ok since out of season for okra. Hopefully they do fresh when it’s time.
The fries were definitely not loaded, just sprinkled- I would skip these.
Hamburger was tasty- lots of layers and very filling.
It’s a casual dinner but definitely not college friendly prices being close to it.
I would return to try more items.
My go to choice when trying most restaurants like this as a basic hamburger. As I got to the front, two little ladies were ordering so I stood in line. Who am I assume to be the owner found me in line, and asked if I needed anything, so I asked for a menu.
The little ladies in front of me said to me, oh no you don’t need that, just get today’s special. I asked what that was, and they said the hot beef.
So I ordered the hot beef with fries, and they corrected me in saying, no no, the hot beef comes with mashed potatoes, so I corrected my order and got the Hot Beef with Mashed potatoes.
(looking back now, always trust the locals, the mashed potatoes was the optimal choice)
I can’t believe how savory this dish was. Most places make their gravy from a bag, but you can tell that the brown gravy on this dish was made fresh from the roast beef. The potatoes themselves were piping hot, and the meat was perfectly salty.
Two favorite styles of restaurant: bistros and diners. This is bistro-style, with the food being simple and homemade, but definitely not made from bargain ingredients.
I regret not trying this place the day I saw it opened, because now I have to make up for all the lost time.
10 out of 10; would recommend again ❤️
Their old-fashioned cheeseburgers can go toe-to-toe with the best other burger places in central Oklahoma have to offer. My wife and I loved the high-quality beef, the other fresh ingredients, and the way the patty was cooked to perfection.
Our orders each came with a side. (You can order just a burger but it costs almost as much as their combos. I chose the fries and enjoyed how hot and crisp they were. They were covered with a hefty amount of seasoned salt, not quite to excess, but I wouldn’t have wanted more.
We were disappointed with my wife’s onion rings; she said they were just “OK”. She shared half of one and I agreed. The rings consisted of a thick, uniform batter covering a single strand of onion. Our guess is they were out-of-the fridge pre-fab rings sold by an institutional food supplier. My fries may have also been pre-fab products but their relative flavor was much better.
Pattie’s offers a variety of sides with their sandwiches. My wife plans to try the okra next time.
Cost was acceptable considering the quality and quantity we received. Our order with tax and tip came to $30.00. Honestly, we’ve purchased comparable meals for about $5.00 less at burger places around the metro area, but don’t think Pattie’s prices are out of line. (Note: before visiting we checked their web menu for options and prices, and found their in-person menu prices were higher that those listed online.)
We’re making plans try their onion burgers in the near future. Since central Oklahoma is the home of onion burgers, and there are a lot of local places that excel in making them. I’m curious how Pattie’s compares.
They have a pretty decent-sized menu with plenty of options, so there’s something for everyone. Even though the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, there was a steady crowd when we went for lunch, which says a lot about how much people enjoy it.
If you’re in the mood for a burger and want something fresher and better tasting than the usual chains, this is definitely a spot worth trying. Supporting a local business while getting a really great meal is always a win I will definitely be back!
It’s a nice place off 2nd street. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and my wife got the loaded potato soup. And we both had water. The food came out very quickly and the portions were large. The flavor profile is different but good. I thought all of my food had a bit too much of an onion flavor but it was good. When my wife took a bite of her soup she said, “oh ya. that’s what i wanted.”
Overall it was a great experience and we agreed that we want to come back. I want to try their burgers and their roast. The price was very good as well. It was basically $23.00 plus tip for quite a lot of food. You should definitely give it a try
