I had the pork katsu sandwich and it was a mess! Needed a ton of napkins. It was a little tough and had too much of a kick for me. The waffle fries were okay, for me, not as good as Chick-fil-A.
Service was just okay. They have a self-serve kiosk for ordering. Works okay but I prefer the option of using a cashier.
Self-serve fountain drinks are a specialty brand, not Coke or Pepsi.
Parking lot is very busy. But we found a spot fairly quickly and not to far from the restaurant.
Worth a try for the curry chicken katsu but I’d avoid the sandwich.
Enjoy!
I wish more restaurants offered small portion menu items under $10 for people who don’t or can’t eat much.
We had two sandos to start. The egg salad sando is a must have. It was creamy and delicious. The Portobello katsu sando was large and filling. The katsu Portobello was delicious and the arugula salad with balsamic dressing in the sando just balanced out the flavors.
We also had two main dishes. The kimchi dumpling curry was amazing. So many kimchi dumplings. The curry and the rice with it would have been enough but they also included two salads and tsukemono. We also had a katsu curry udon. The udon noodles were perfect and the katsu was crispy and delicious.
We ended the meal with a strawberry sando. It was large and filled with fresh strawberries and subtlety sweet whipped cream.
Everything is a must have and cannot wait to come back again.
We ordered and got our food super quick! Portions are generous and each of the different types of katsu comes out so crispy and delicious. My favorite has to be the shrimp katsu curry plate and egg sando. Curry has a nice spice to it! And the plate even comes with a small side of salad and rice. We’ll always swing by Katsu Bar for a reliable, feel-good meal ❤️
The restaurant is very clean and well appointed. It is small. It seems most orders are take out. Perhaps for that reason it seemed the service was slower. But I will say that my food was cooked to order and served hot and super crispy!
Definitely a great place to grab or take away a quick and yummy lunch for a great deal!
Highlights of the menu:
1. Caprese katsu sando with sides (chicken, side salad, assorted pickle)
2. Baja sandwich with sides (beef, side salad)
3. Korean katsu plate
4. Strawberry milk
The Katsu Curry comes with a rich, flavorful sauce that complements the crispy cutlet perfectly, while the Garlic Katsu Ramen offers a satisfying bowl of comfort with a generous kick of garlic. Every dish showcases their mastery of the fryer – achieving that golden-brown crust while keeping the interior tender and juicy.
The quick service and thoughtful timing of dishes make this an excellent choice for both lunch and dinner. The staff’s warm hospitality adds to the experience, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Will definitely bring the fam and friends!
The restaurant was a little small so it might be better to get take out but our service was still pretty quick and the staff were friendly. The music was kind of loud and slightly annoying but the food definitely made up for it. Also the tender Gang Jung bites were very sweet and quite scrumptious.
Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made the dining experience even better with their warm service and helpful attitude.
Highly recommend!
