We were hungry tonight. We ordered onion rings for appetizer and they were huuuge & we had dozen of them. Mmmm. We also ordered dozen chicken wings. We ordered chicken fried chicken & chicken fried. We both had lemonades. Can we eat it all? It was tough, but we almost succeeded. They were delicious. Anna the waitress who’s been working at the restaurant for the past 8 years provided us exceptional service. She’s the best. Plenty of delicious food, fantastic service for fair price. Come one & come all.

We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and delicious meals—everything we tried was full of flavor and truly enjoyable. While the service was friendly, the staff seemed a bit stretched during the lunchtime rush, so things moved slowly. Still, the servers were warm and kind once they reached our table, which made up for the wait.

If I could give it million stars I would!!! I have NEVER been to a restaurant and been 1000% satisfied and happy like I was today. We were passing by and decided let’s try this place out well we’re sooooo glad we did. The atmosphere is very friendly, restaurant is clean and employees very welcoming like we were family. The menu had breakfast (only available breakfast hours) and lunch/dinner. We ordered lunch. My husband ordered the BBQ Combo (chicken breast, brisket, and sausage) came with 2 sides (he got potato salad and okra). I ordered the beef fajitas quesadillas came with Pico de gallo and guacamole. When I say when we got our plate we were AMAZED WOW!!! Then we started to eat picking at each other’s plates and well the food was amazing!!! They also offered desserts; lemon meringue, carrot cake, and coconut meringue pie. I chose the lemon meringue. The crust was soft and tasted great not like those store bought crusts. The lemon curd was just right not too tangy and the meringue was light and airy. Total greatness. I am very picky when it comes to food and restaurants and I have to say I was surprised I had no complaints here. Our server Rosalva was very nice and respectful which nowadays it’s very hard to find great help. The servings were very good as well as the price we even had enough leftover to take home. We will definitely be stopping here hopefully next time we pass by. Maybe next time we will purposely travel through here.

Great food and service I hadn’t been here since I was a kid and visited about a month ago with my Beautifuls. They loved it and decided to invite my this time around . Saturday night dinner here and once again Great Food and excellent service. Chicken fried French fries are a must have and thier brisket anything is to die for. Fried mushrooms are also great!

The place inside is nice and smelled good but after getting our orders. All the food lacked flavor….The soft taco on the Mexican plate don’t know what it was made of cause it wasn’t meat , the chicken fried chicken needed more seasoning , spaghetti and burger were ok . I paid 168 for food that was u knw what! We were 6 family members I just hate wasting money for food that taste bad. Sorry everyone has different taste but for us it was bad…taco palenque was near by should gone there

Dinner here was amazing after a long day on the frac. I had the stuffed pepper steak. It was really delicious and definitely worth the wait. The onion rings are also delicious and good sized. The sweet tea was perfect and the waitress I had was very kind and prompt. The restaurant itself definitely has that old timey steakhouse feel to it. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cotulla, Texas.

Checked out Country Store today and very glad I did. Y’all have to try the Cowboy Burger, your taste buds will thank you. It has very tasty brisket on top of a beef patty. The meal includes two large crisp onion rings and seasoned fries, both were very good. I took half of everything home for a second meal. The service was quick and very friendly staff. And, I hear Thursday steak night is awesome, definitely checking it out.

First time and it was so good! From the friendly greeting when we walked in to the service to the food…all made for a top tier experience. Ordered coffee because I was going to get breakfast but sadly they dont serve breakfast after 11am. So I got the chicken fried steak. The breading was the right amount of crisp. Got a sweet tea to go with it and it was delicious. Our server was so pleasant, so sweet and very attentive. She had that down home friendly demeanor I enjoy and appreciate. I dont get out to Cotulla very often but Id make a special trip just to visit again
( besides…i gotta try their breakfast ). With Cracker Barrel swapping out its aesthetic for something more cold and uninviting it’s nice to know places like Country Store Restaurant exist!

Great friendly place to visit. Food was ok. Had the stuffed pepper steak. Basically a large hamburger patty with green peppers and onions inside. Fries okra was pretty good, green beans were ok as well, but needed salt. Staff is exceptional. Very friendly and attentive.

I’ve been working down this way for a few months and it’s hard to find a place that a truck can fit in and has decent food. Now that I have I’ll be eating here more often it’s very welcoming warm and cozy. The food is amazing. I had the brisket omelette and I must say it was the best brisket I’ve ever had. Well seasoned juicy perfect amount of fat on it I mean the omelette was like tasting heaven. My server was very nice and catered to my needs as well as the other customers with ease. This is my new home away from home and I can’t wait to see what else they have to offer.
