Nice place beer, wine, setups, and good pizza served up until close. Nice covered outdoor “porch” for events or cookouts. Clean restrooms and smoking permitted. Most bartenders/servers are friendly and efficient. Can I just say (I am obligated to give you an honest account of my own experiences, and my opinion). It is sorta common sense for servers and bartenders to be friendly, smile, have a good attitude and care about their appearance….. In defence of the ones that know how and what to do but have a temporary reason for their poor service…. If that is the case, I understand completely. Anyone can have a bad day. I really like this bar, and overall the staff is great (happy to be there, at tentative, efficient, smiling, friendly and pride in appearance) …..but myself, and many others, consider WHO is working when it’s decision time on where to go. Because nobody wants to go anywhere they will feel like a pain in their rear because you are there. UPDATE : My last visit was fun and entertaining. Server was great and attentive, friendly and looked like she enjoyed her job. (she at least made it look like it). Very quick and friendly.

So I was in East Texas to spend time with my family for the Christmas holiday. After being around family I decided to see if I could find a bar that was open on Christmas day. I ended finding “The Bar”. As much as I didn’t feel like driving 30 minutes to get out, I decided to go anyways. When I pulled up, I was a bit skeptical. Although when I walked in the door, i could tell it was a relaxed place to be. The bar tender was really awesome to me, even with knowing I wasn’t a regular. Next I decided to play some pool with a guy I never met before, sadly he beat me every game until the last. But, he was nice the whole time while we played. Was not the rubbing in it type of guy. Long story short, by the time I left, I met some amazing people, and had a great time. Only sad part of it all was that I live two hours away. Otherwise I would definitely go regularly…

P.s… The drinks are reasonably priced!

Great bar! No one is a stranger at the bar! Laid back no drama. Ladies night every Wednesday! Dart tournament on Thursday! Free pool on Sunday and Monday! You won’t regret stopping by!
