I went this weekend for my birthday and the food and service were amazing. I had the lamb chops which were so DELICIOUS. The pollo chicharron apps were the best that I ever had.. I wanted to lick the plate Also, the manager was present in the room to ask if everyone was ok.. I so appreciate good service. I will definitely return to the restaurant.

First time there, went to celebrate my birthday. Food was delicious and definitely had the wow factor. Had empanadas appetizer three different kinds so fresh. I had Paella Azucar , the best I’ve ever had. Tasted Vaca Frita loved it. Excellent service and the Manager was really nice too. Will definitely go back and also try their other restaurant in Garden City The Cuban.

Not impressed. I feel like they took the flavor out to cater to the area.
I had the Cuban sandwich and it was very dry with no seasoning. My Mother in Law who is native Cuban had the Palomilla Steak and she stated that it was good but had no “Cuban” seasoning to it .
My wife had the overpriced Sea Bass ($60) and she said it was good but it had no Latin flavor or taste to it.
My Son had the Guantanamera, and this is where I feel we were duped.this was a grill platter with a thin piece of Steak, 2 thin cutlets, shrimp , and sausage, drenched in BBQ sauce. This was not even remotely close to a Cuban dish.
My son and I had 2 diets cokes am each and please be aware refills are not free. So I paid $20 for 4 Diet Cokes. Crazy.
Mother in law had the Tres Leches and she said it was good. I had the Maduro Budin and was disappointed as the menu clearly stated it came with caramel sauce which was omitted and the server stated that people complained it was too “Sweet”.
Would I go back, no. It’s not even as good as the Fast Food Cuban places like Sophie’s and Tina’s in NYC.
Azucar needs to do better, it has potential.
$300 for mediocre food is not a good look.

Entertainer had amazing voice and personality. Drinks just not good. Avocado with crab meat for app tasteless. Shredded steak was very dry like cardboard. Paella was just ok. Both meals were cold so sent back. They definitely microwaved them. Tres leche not bad.

I wanted to try this place for lunch. I didn’t think It was going to be real Cuban style Spanish food, but it did not disappoint. First I started off with some tostones with some garlic sauce and they were huge, crunchy not soggy. Then I ordered the oxtails… wow were they delicious so tender they fell right off the bone. And the sauce was so thick and flavorful . The portion was very filling I couldn’t finish it either. And to top it off I had the brownie Sunday, waiters suggestions, so I tried it. It was warm with a coconut flavor in it which was interestingly good and a scoop of icecream just right and some fruits. I highly recommend this place if you like real Spanish food and are really hungry. Also the waiter was very attentive and friendly as so were the rest of the staff. I felt very welcomed.

We went for a Thursday night date night and had such a great experience. The food and drinks were perfect. We ordered guac, and the three empanadas app; chicken, picadillo and the braised beef. I enjoyed a passion fruit mojito which was delicious. For the main course I had the Camarones entomataos, the shrimp was tender cooked perfectly, the sofrito was great and not overly salted. My husband ordered the churrasco cubano which was a really tender and generous cut of skirt steak with rice, beans and platanos. Churros for dessert bc why not. Presentation was top notch as well. It’s was literally PERFECT and we can’t wait to return.

Stopped by Sunday night but only for drinks! I had no idea they finally opened. Was greeted right away with warm smile’s and a menu. The restaurant is nice! You can smell the flavors if the Cuban culture. I sat at the bar the chair were comfortable. I didn’t catch the name of the bartender but she was super nice and made delicious drinks! She was a little busy but still attentive and informative. The quesadilla was delicious! Perfect place to bring the family, date night or solo for a refreshing drink at the bar. I will be back for dinner and looking forward to be a regular! I’m too happy about haven a Cuban restaurant so close to home.

Made a reservation took some time to be seated. Manager was nice and kept us posted how much longer and apologized. It was my best friend birthday that day and it was worth the wait the food was fresh, delicious. When the food came out felt like I was in an expensive restaurant the look was outstanding. The smell and taste dont get me started food was delicious flavors were amazing. It was a group of 5 and we all left there cant wait to come back to have different dishes. Drinks were delicious too. Dessert recommend the coconut brownie. Was very pleased…
