I started with the Juicy Freak IPA—fruity, refreshing, and perfect for a summer afternoon. For food, I had the Farmhouse Sandwich with herb-grilled chicken, poblano pesto, arugula, goat cheese, and tomato jam on a baguette. The baguette was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the flavors were incredible—especially the house-made pesto and jam, which added a delicious garlic and sweet-savory balance.
The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is unbeatable—especially in the summer with the huge outdoor area and misters to keep things cool. Great vibes, great food and beer, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to!
The inside bar is pretty small, but it has lots of seating options with communal tables so we had no trouble getting a table. They also have single tables as well. There were lots of plugs at the tables so it seems like it would be a great place to bring a laptop and work if they aren’t too busy. They also had board games as well which I saw several tables play with.
Our server was fantastic, he always checked in on us. And made sure our beers were full. We tried the chicken pesto sandwich and the double cheeseburger, both of which were delicious. They each came with a very sad salad, it could have used a tad more vinaigrette. Fries are sold ala cart.
My only minor gripes about the inside is the lighting—it’s so bright! If they could tone it down a bit, it would create a more comfortable atmosphere. Also, because the seating is packed closely together, having a TV would be a nice distraction because if you’re alone like I was while I waited for my husband, your option is to awkwardly stare people at the tables around you or you are looking at your beer or your phone – which gets old.
We had a great time and would recommend visiting, especially if you can enjoy the patio!
I saw they had kinds that I hadn’t tried, so I tried some and decided to have a couple of beers and order lunch.
The only downside side is the fact that meals don’t come with fries, and I wish they did.
I didn’t feel very welcomed, but that’s normal for me, I suppose, as I’m different from normal crowd.
Updates:
I’m finding that Denver Beer Co is a champion at the unexpected. When my wife first heard *duck fat* fries, she wasn’t as convinced by the name alone. But when I brought her here, she understood immediately. These fries are the only food I would openly call “catnip” and have somewhat of a literal meaning. I want to crawl inside the plate, soak up all this goodness of salts and flavors at the bottom, and roll around for a while. Hooked.
My wife ordered the Basic Bs flatbread. This would not be my normal fancy – Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and bacon. But I was very impressed. I took an angry pig home, and to my ultimate surprise, I actually missed the Basic Bs! Now I have my crack fries and take the unexpected flatbread I enjoy so much to go. It’s the best appetizer and entree paring I’ve found in a long time. Cheers!
