First-time customer. Thank you to the reviewer who suggested the white sauce, I definitely recommend it as well. The portion of food was a good portion, fresh, and tasty. I was attended by a friendly and polite young lady. I personally ordered the Lamb over rice with white sauce $9.99. I’ll likely check out the rest of their menu over time, thanks.

Nice NY style halal food truck. It’s located in a gas station parking lot and has plenty of parking available for a quick food grab. Conveniently it also has a table section for eating outside. The food tastes good and the guy working has good customer service. The portions could be a bit bigger but nothing really worth complaining about.

In addition, it’s one of the only halal spots in Waterbury so $10/plate is pretty fair when you factor in supply & demand. Overall I’m happy I found this place.

My boyfriend and I recently discovered this food truck and we LOVE it! We’ve been back 4 times in a month lol. The food is so well seasoned and fresh; the portions are very good!! An order of chicken and rice is $10 and you definitely get your money’s worth! Also, ask for extra white sauce because it’s amazing!!

Pro: I like the taste of food. Its not too expensive. If you ask for spicy food it will be real spicy.
Con:The price is not what it says online. I feel like they should add more meat to the platter because if wasnt enough. We brought food for the whole family maybe she just made the meat all together and tried to adjust in all boxes.

Awesome and tasty halal place for a quick bite. However, a bit more in quantity would be nice.

Tastes amazing. Great portions (especially generous portions of meat in comparison to most places). White sauce is incredible – if they sold straight bottles of it I’d buy it.

Great food, the owner/operator is very nice, very clean and prices are reasonable. Only thing is the meat portion in the mix gyro over rice is small. I wish they would put a bit more meat. Highly recommended

Twice the owner has given us what we didn’t want and charged us for the most expensive meal. We even found pieces of the other meal we wanted in our food and even though I ordered 4 of the same meal, they were varied in ingredients. How is the food mixed together like this and why are main ingredients missing from some? When called, he acted like he didn’t understand what I was explaining to him which was obvious and disappointing. This is insanely sad considering his food was good in the past and we were pretty loyal costumers. Please just tell us you ran out of a certain food item and not rob us and act dumb. Sad and a waste of money and service. Crazy to literally not get what you ordered lol

I have always liked Haji’s Halal Cart. However, over time they raised their prices but their quantity of food decreased significantly. For example, they raised their rice platters to 9.99$ but the amount of chicken and rice decreased to a half serving. I just want to give guidance to anyone from the business who reads this–please don’t decrease quantity while increasing costs, that is not a good way to do business as its cheating people. I will not return, there are other halal foods/carts that are sincere and have good business intentions.
Response to the business owner: it is not the lack of QUALITY– it is the lack of QUANTITY [portion size] that decreased significantly even though prices were raised. However, previously you had lower prices with excellent quality and quantity of food. I understand raising prices but I cannot tolerate less amount of food for more cost.
