I highly recommend coming and discovering this place for yourself. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try the ramen. The strawberry ice is amazing too! #Kampai
The vibe here is another big win—chill, stylish, and surprisingly kid-friendly. Our kids had a blast with the Waldo books and retro games like Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots and tabletop pool, which meant no screens at the table (huge bonus). Meanwhile, I got to keep an eye on NFL RedZone and my fantasy football stats.
Highly recommend this spot, especially on a lazy Sunday when you want great food, a laid-back atmosphere, and a place where both kids and adults can relax.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this absolute gem of an establishment; but I shall do my very best to honor its greatness with what meager ability I posses to do so within the bounds of written language.
I visited this restaurant yesterday not knowing what to expect. The last thing I remember was sitting down, picking up my chopsticks, and preparing to take my first bite. Shortly thereafter, I have come to the conclusion that my spirit left my body out of sheer tasteful pleasure and didn’t return until sometime after I finished my meal. The experience, while transcendent, left me amazed yet unable to take in the overpowering deliciousness of the experience.
It brought to memory my first experience with skydiving. By the time I’d taken the 14,000 foot plunge and return to solid ground, I realized that my senses were so overwhelmed by the ordeal that I simply wasn’t able to soak it in in its fullness. It wasn’t until I leapt from the airplane a second time that I felt I was truly able to absorb the whole of what the jump had to offer.
Where were we? Ah, yes, sushi.
I determined that like with skydiving, I owed it to myself to answer the call of the siren and give myself another dose of Unaimon’s sweet culinary melody. In other words, I went back again today.
The allegorical comparison I made between my meal at Umaimon By Anaba and skydiving proved to be startlingly accurate. My second endeavor with their food proved to not only live up to my first, but indeed surpassed it by virtue of me being better prepared to appreciate it.
And so, without further ado, it is with the grandest of pleasure that I give this wildly under-appreciated establishment my most full and hearty endorsement, with the promise that, should fate permit, I will return.
In other words, this place is freaking delicious, and you should go get some. And no, this isn’t AI, this is just a dude who really appreciated how great the food and service here was.
Everything was delicious and the tuna used in the sushi was actually good! Miami is filled with “Japanese” restaurants but none are actually Japanese.
If you went to Japan and are missing the country, come here. Its so good
And the owner is so nice! He really cares for the quality
