Cozy place friendly owners who are always welcoming. Been two times now and both were great meals. Last time I had the special which was home made Lasagna with garlic bread and Caesar Salad ….delicious ! I will be back for the Souvlaki as I’m hearing it is one of the best. Everything is made in house so try the butter tarts. They are a soooo good.

We just left the restaurant. We’ve enjoyed this restaurant on a number of occasions in the past and never been disappointed with the service nor the food. Tonight however, the price for our usual fare seemed to skyrocket? We each had our usual chicken souvlaki dinner with one coffee (I had water), no appetizers nor dessert and paid over $20 more (before tip) than we have before. I guess it’s the sign of times and we are finding significant price hikes in other places too, but it was disheartening. As a result, I ended up leaving a minimal tip, which I hate doing, but couldn’t justify bringing our total to $100 (with a decent tip) for two dinners.

I liked the restaurant. The food was good and fresh. We had Spicy Chicken Burger, Cheese Burger which were good. Philly steak poutine was pretty good and plentiful. Fish and Chips was good too. The place has plenty of parking space.

Just finished a great dinner at Portage House. Our first time in and we were not disappointed. The chicken soulvaki was delicious and portion size was enormous. You will not leave hungry!
The restaurant has cozy cottage lake vibe and everyone was very friendly.
Food is cooked fresh and served hot.
We will definitely be back.

Great little spot if you’re passing through the kirkfield area. Wife and I stopped in today and enjoyed a quick little lunch. Service was great, food was prompt, hot, and cooked perfectly. We’ll be back!

1 inch Mozzarella ring around the burger with the perfect amount of seasoning and topped to perfection with some sauce that blends with the peppers balancing the heat to perfection.
People were grate

I actually expected it would be more expensive as it’s one of the only spots around here but no!! Right on par or a little below
Perfect spot to meet up befor a ride
Lots of parking and they are in a really good starting point just east of 12 or west of 35 on 48
