I ordered a Smokehouse Burger, as did my daughter. My husband had the All American. These were between $10 and $13. The burger was impressive looking and had homemade ketchup on it. The meat was absolutely delicious, but dry and too plump to be called a patty. The onion rings included in my burger were soggy. We asked for ranch on the side, I believe it would be considered a dill ranch, which would amazing on a salad, but not for my onion rings or my daughter’s fries. Service was fantastic, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Glad we ate here tonight, and more than likely we will return down the road after they work out the bugs.
PS: My husband paid the bill, then the manager came by and apologized all over herself because she forgot to give him a military discount. To make it up to him, she offered him a cheesecake to share. We chose chocolate, and when she brought it, we were amazed. It was beautiful, and so decadent!

My stepson and I recently visited Minden from Montana, and while there we had dinner at the Independence Diner. The decor was so cute, the food was delicious and the service was prompt and courteous. It was a warm & friendly atmosphere and we highly suggest this place if you like good home cooking!

The food was wonderful, cooked perfectly and promptly served by our very cheerful server. The dessert (chocolate lava cake with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and raspberry drizzle) was amazing! I am definitely going back to this friendly and fun restaurant. Thanks for opening your restaurant in a great location, just off #395 and Ironwood in Minden. Cheers!
