Absolutely the best spare ribs I’ve ever had. The bbq sauces are amazing too. Staff is always friendly and efficient

Delicious! Partnering with Nocterra Brewing at the Powell location, Ray Ray’s is located on far side of the beer garden and is not easily visible from the road. Can just walk right through the beer garden or through the Nocterra building. Very friendly! The brisket is best ever!

Pretty damn good bbq. My only complaint is that I wish their habanero bbq sauce was actually spicy. Stout brownie was delicious as well.

Hands down the best brisket in Columbus. I waited 45 minutes here once and wasn’t a bit disappointed. Worth the wait, worth the trip worth the price. The brewery they are behind is pretty great too. Aside from being backed up against the railroad tracks, this site is absolutely one of the best places in Powell to hang out.

We were camping nearby at Alum Creek and a friend recommended we stop here. By far the best BBQ we have had in recent memory. We had the brisket sandwich and a pound of baby back ribs. Nocterra is a bonus as well! We tried a couple of hard seltzers. They were very good. The town of Powell was a surprise bringing a nice small town feeling.

I really really wanted to like them, but the food just didn’t measure up. I don’t like to give negative reviews, but I hope people find this helpful. I went to Ray Ray’s yesterday morning/afternoon at the Powell/Nocterra location. Staff was friendly and food came out fast. I ordered the “Meatsweats” because I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I also got a side of collard greens.

First off, the good… the collard greens were delicious, but that is it for the positive portion of the review. The rest was highly disappointing. The ribs were cold, dry and very tough. The pulled pork was also cold and dry and the sausage tasted old… what I assumed happened is, I just got food leftover from the night before, or maybe something they cooked very early that morning. Everything was just stone cold and no moisture in anything.

Maybe the quality wasn’t there because it was Noon on a Saturday. But I would rather them just be out of everything or wait a longer time for good fresh food. Usually I don’t write reviews, but I spent nearly $40 after tip, and for that amount, I could get a steak freaking dinner, so I guess I am just a little upset at what I got, for the money I spent.

My first time there! I love Memphis BBQ so it was a welcomed delight that there’s was so close! The Beta BBQ sauce is great. We ordered the family pack, pulled pork & brisket and a rack of ribs. The family pack is a lot of food. There Mac and cheese is great and the Cole slaw. Gotta try iyt. You’ll love it!

I ordered for pickup here and was super underwhelmed with the food. First the bbq sauce was not in the bag when we got home and the guy said everything was in the bag. The baby back ribs were super chewy and hard to get the meat from the bone. The 1/2lb of brisket that we ordered looked smaller so I threw it on my food scale and as I suspected totally gave us 1/4lb. When Ray Ray’s is good, it leaves you wanting to come back, but this time not so much.

To be clear, the people are nice. The food is good. But you can almost never get any food. They are always out of everything. If you are hungry, unless you are the very first customer there in a day, you are not eating. I’ve been to nocterra a lot. And only once or twice have I gotten what I wanted from Ray Rays.

In general, if it’s later in the day and your hungry, eat somewhere else first.
