This meal was an exemplary end of a wonderful day. The food was delicious. The atmosphere so comfortable and engaging. The team of owners create a welcoming, warm, and friendly environment. There is kitsch… art… great location… and the lighting makes for a romantic night for this old married couple. Let me say a few more things about the food! The flavors and presentation were amazing! And we couldn’t even wait for photos for the desserts.

This is a classy little diamond in the rough. Japanese married with Colorado freshness, you’ll be delighted with these ecclectic dishes served in a quaint, cozy, homey atmosphere. In warmer weather there’s outdoor seating. Definitely try the fresh squeezed juices! They also serve a great Japanese Plum Wine and sake. I had the house cured salmon sushi with garden grown tomato & avocado Caprese salad. The lady who waited on us was charming and beautiful, and the restaurant owners were there singing happy birthday to a guest. Very nice place to go for a date or bring a guest from out of town. Reasonable prices for very fresh, tasty culinary surprises.

My husband & I had the best time celebrating our wedding anniversary here last night. The food was delicious, Jimmy was hilarious & his wife was so sweet. We live 3.5 hours away, but we’ll be back!

Fantastic food and personalized, friendly service from the owners. Probably the best restaurant in Ft Madison, but at unexpectedly reasonable prices. We shared the lamb curry penne, tomato basil soup, spinach and goat cheese lasagna and mu shu pork wrap. All well executed and just a short downtown walk from our hotel, the Kingsley Inn.

Simple yet eclectic and friendly. No frill yet elegant at the same time. As for the food, a delight for someone who’s a bit of a foodie and appreciates healthy eating like me. Especially enjoyed the jalapeño popper BLT and carrot peanut salad that were on special this week

There is seating for 28 people so come early or try another day. The food is a Asian fusion and pretty good. We were in the area and wanted something local. I would suggest this place. They serve things I haven’t eaten elsewhere.

The food is delicious. The decor is clean yet full of character. The staff is friendly. The menu is trendy and small, which can be both good and bad. It’s nice not to flip through a book to figure out what I want, but at the same time, their menu can be a bit repetitive. The menu is still really unique for the area. I normally have to drive an hour to find something similar. Also, the pricing is a little bit high. Anyway, Simple Table is great, but it can be better.
