The deluxe mac amd cheese is their winter special. I waited days for the them to open. The food is absolutely worth the wait! Im so lucky to have gotten to experience the food and the homemade blueberry croissant and salmon croissant. The wait was a bit long but again very worth the food. Next time I will order the full Mac and cheese dish the half was not enough for this cheese lover.

Pingo is an absolute must stop if you are visiting Nome. I came up from Philadelphia and was wandering around when I popped in to get something to eat. Pingo has a very cozy atmosphere and the owner Erica is extremely kind and awesome! You can tell she puts a lot of love into her food! I had the Crab Mac and cheese and it was to die for!

Pingo is such a unique little eatery. Cozy atmosphere with a great cup of coffee (or a selection of teas). The food is absolutely delicious with a selection and quality that is unmatched.

The halibut stuffed waffle is my absolute favorite.

What a wonderful cafe! As a gluten-free girl, I was shocked to find a stuffed GF waffle on the menu – in Nome especially! It was made to order, and was well worth the wait. Perfectly crispy on the outside. It was so good, I came back another time during my stay to eat it again! This place is a gem. Highly recommend! Esp for the GF folks out there. Budget for some time as they make everything to order!

Friendly staff, quiet environment and very good food. Had the seafood omlette with Halibut and Coho Salmon, was delish. Don’t expect a quick turnaround, takes time to cook the food (with 2 employees).

What a fun bakery and breakfast place!
I got coffee and a raisin cinnamon roll. It was very filling.
Not so many tables, and you make friends and sit where there is an open seat!
edit.. still delicious!! lol

As soon as I walked into Pingos it was magical. I was welcomed in by the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls cooling a few feet away from the entrance. The hardest choice that morning was choosing which pastry to pair with my coffee. I opted for the cream cheese danish and took a chocolate filled croissant to go, both were delicious! The owner was so sweet and was easy to talk to. The only regret I have is not going sooner.

* One caveat – the locals call in to go orders for breakfast and dining in you are in line. Do not expect to come in, eat and go. Only have breakfast if you’re prepared to linger a good while. Once the food does come, it’s all quality, locally sourced.

What an incredible find after several days in the wilderness around Nome. Quaint, shared tables, good ambiance, incredible food! It’s got to be the best food/coffee spot in Nome!

What a wonderful place. The service was very pleasant and felt like you stopped by a familys home for lunch or breakfast. We flew in and rushed to get checked into hotel to get to restaurant by 2 because they closed at 3. We were never rushed and stayed till 315 or so and never made to feel like we needed to leave. Thank you so much for the great service and meal!
