Food was generous, we had the fried cod with fries and poutine. The fries were crispy and golden not burnt at all. The fish was juicy with a crispy deep fried batter. The gravy was tasty not spicy. Service was very fast and staff very friendly. Highly recommend. Outside atmosphere was great as well. Love the colors and out door seating. Not a dine in Spot but dine out tables available.

If you’re craving fish and chips done right, this place nails it! The food came out fast, piping hot, and perfectly crispy! no soggy batter here! The fish was flaky and fresh, the fries were golden and satisfying, and everything was seasoned just right.
What really stood out was the quality for the price. It was delicious and affordable, which is rare these days. Lovely outdoor seating. Can’t wait to go back again.

Sweet sufferin’, what a scoff! Luh, if ya wants a proper feed, this place got ‘er made! The fish was fresh as the breeze off the harbour — golden brown, crispy on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside. Some goods I tell ya. Soon as I took a bite, I said to meself, “Lord liftin’, that’s some good grub!” The chips were some wicked too — homemade, brown ‘round the edges, soft in the middle, just like Mudder used to make. They were some deadly. I swears they homemade, frigin cooked just right – bit of crunch with the soft middle, just how ya likes ‘em.
An’ lemme tell ya, that little cup o’ slaw. Wicked good! An’ that was the cherry on top, b’y. Nice bit o’ tang to go with the grease, ya knows. Whole feed was piping hot, like it just come outta the fryer. None o’ that cold, limp stuff you gets other places.
If you’re lookin’ for a real Newfoundland-style feed, you can’t go wrong here, me son. I’d go back in a heartbeat – best fish ‘n chips I’ve had since Nan’s kitchen! I’d drive across the bay for another one, no word of a lie. Fair best feed I had in ages!

We happened upon this shop in September on our way to catch the Ferry back to Nova Scotia and while the location seemed a bit odd, the fish was incredible! I make it a habit to order fish and chips at most restaurants I go to and this was by far the best I’ve ever had. It was possibly the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I am not sure what made it so spectacular but if you ever have the opportunity to eat there, definitely do it!

The best food we had during our visit. The service was great, portions were good, and most importantly taste was fantastic. My dad said the fries are what fish n chip chips should taste like. Really enjoyed the coleslaw. Tartar sauce wasnt for my pallete but it was a common order amongst others.

Stayed in deer lake for a night and stopped here to pick up dinner to take back to our Airbnb.
Ladies behind the counter were fabulous. Service was outstanding and super friendly. We ordered the 3 piece fish and chips for 2 people. It was plenty. Gravy on the side was superb. Fish was crispy and flaky and delicious. Homemade fries were perfect.
This place was great!!

I’m not even from Canada. So when driving from St. John’s back on the highway? I searched in all I found was A&W and this place. I’ve had fish And the chips The three times in the last two weeks of the extended vacation, And all times the fish could have very well been from a Large restaurant food service company. I mean, it was fine, but it just wasn’t anything special in the fries tasted like they came par cooked from a big giant box of fries.
This is definitely a hole in the wall search of speak. It’s not food truck, it’s food trailer, which is fine. You step up and they’re extremely friendly to order. I was in the mood for Onion rings so I substituted onion rings and So far, my fish servings have been quite small so I got the three piece and DANG! fatboy almost couldn’t eat the 3 piece. The batter was magical as well. I’ve never had calamari so far in Canada so I Ordered a side of calamari rings. If I had any constructive criticism. I would say just leave it off the menu. The fish-and-chips itself. One piece or 2 piece are an excellent value, even the Three piece. The calamari It’s about a dollar for each piece, and you get like, 7 or 8 rings. They weren’t cooked too bad but I’m 95% sure they weren’t from scratch either Because they were exactly Uniform and did not Include any tentacles. The order came out fairly quick. I can’t wait to go back again.
