I absolutely love this place! It has such a hometown feel! What I loved most about it (besides the food) is that they have a section in the back with mats, a play kitchen, all kinds of toys just for ur kiddos. That was a huge help for me to be able to have lunch with a friend and actually hear our conversation ! $10 for catfish, hush puppies, baked pot, beans and coleslaw!! plus a fun family atmosphere! Can’t beat it! !l thanks ladies! ❤️

We stopped at this diner on our way through to San Antonio. Great find!! All the food is homemade , and every meal a large size. Owner and staff were friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a home cooked version to the usual fast food supplied by others.

First time at Lone Star. We had cheeseburgers and fries. They came out nice and hot, fresh cut fries were toasty too. Good flavor on both. This is definitely a good lunch spot. I want to try the chicken fried steak for dinner sometime soon.

Stopped here on our way back to Corpus Christi. The food was great all around. My daughter had the burger and enjoyed every bite. Loved the homemade fries. I had the fish and loved it. You have to try their jalapeno tartar sauce. My husband had the chicken tenders which were fresh hot and juicy!!

Such a great experience! With two pool tables, a kids area perfect for toddlers and 12 old school retro games on the way it’s insanely obvious it’s the place to be. We had the fried chicken salad with the house made ranch-highly suggest! It’s a family owned and operated business that’s been with them for over 10 years:) we didn’t mean to run into it but are so glad we did. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere!

Food was excellent. I had fish and my Hubby had the chicken fried steak. Fish was fresh, fries were home made and the hush puppies good. Hubby said it was the best chicken fried steak he’s had. Talked to the owners, they make most everything from scratch including the tartar sauce and ranch dressing. We will definitely be back!
