We started with the Empanadas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and packed with flavorful filling. An absolute must-try appetizer. The Coquito cocktail was the perfect festive, creamy, and spiced delight to sip on.
For the main dishes, the Chicken Milanesa was crispy on the outside yet tender inside, and incredibly satisfying. The tacos (we tried a few different kinds!) were all fresh, creative, and delicious. Don’t skip the Esquite; the creamy corn side dish was seasoned beautifully and addictive!
Beyond the incredible food and drinks, the service elevated our entire evening. Our server, Christien, was truly excellent; attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure every part of our experience was flawless.
If you’re looking for an upscale Mexican dining experience in Greenville with standout dishes and top-notch service, Encino is the place. Highly recommend!
I would recommend reservations, we walked in and they seemed a little stressed about that. By the time 6/7 rolled around, every table was full!
The interior is absolutely stunning. We moved here from Boston and it truly felt like we were back inside an upscale city restaurant, which we’ve been missing here.
Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to give recommendations and answer questions. Service 10/10.
Food can use some improvement and I’m sure they’ll get there. My filet was probably the best I’ve had in Greenville. I didn’t completely love that it doesn’t come with any sides but that’s typical of a true steakhouse. My husband wasn’t impressed with the lamb. Our dessert was the crème brûlée but I think it was made wrong and was actually taken off our check, which we appreciated.
All in all, we enjoyed the restaurant very much and we are so happy to have supported them in their first week. We spent $215 for the two of us, so maybe not a weekly option for us but we will certainly be back if we have visitors in town or a special occasion.
The food took a bit, but truly no complaints. Our waitress stayed on top of refills, checked in often, and apologized multiple times for a wait that honestly didn’t even need apologizing for.
And the corn ribs… I fear they now live rent-free in my brain and will be visiting me in my dreams. 10/10, no notes.
The atmosphere is upscale but welcoming. The food was flavorful. I can’t remember the name of the cocktail I had, it had coconut cream in it- I highly recommend this if you enjoy coconut. I also tried the apple cider mimosa. It was also good but the coconut cream cocktail was divine.
I recommend getting the Cesar salad as a course and ordering any of the items that comes with the grilled bone marrow on the side. If you enjoy steak, you will love the flavor of the bone marrow.
We ordered desserts to go and enjoyed it with my parents at home. The Quattro leches cake was a hit at our house. The Pastel De Elote was my personal favorite. You can tell that they pay attention to detail in every dish served.
Our servers Atiana and Honesty were very attentive and guided us through the menu. I’m very grateful for our experience. I hope Greenville will keep Encino around because it was an enchanting experience.
