Totally enjoyed my experience at Carribbean Pete’s. My 1st visit was to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Everything that was served were delicious and everybody finished their food which is the obvious indication that they enjoyed what they were served.
I particularly enjoyed the Chicken wings, potato salad and the Jerk chicken sandwich.
I also came for the line dancing which was so much fun!! i will be coming back!!
Thank you Elaine, Pete and Michael for the great service!!

I had a fantastic lunch at Caribbean Pete’s with my mom, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. We ordered a little bit of everything—chicken wings, meatballs, and a quesadilla—and every dish came out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken wings were especially delicious, with great seasoning and just the right amount of crunch. The meatballs were tender and savory, and the quesadilla was packed with flavor.

We couldn’t resist dessert, so we tried the Key Lime Brûlée, which was outstanding—creamy, bright, and the perfect balance of tart and sweet.

Friends told us to try out Caribbean Pete’s Grill they had really great menu. When we walked in it really had that Key West feel, very bright and colorful. We started off with the chonch frtters as an appetizer. I had the crab cakes and my friend had the lime shrimp. Everything was Rite on point and looking out at the bay was a million dollar view, it was quiet and relaxing, it was the best dining experience we had I’m along time. Thank You to are servers Karen and Mike they were the best!

We had a wonderful dinner here at Caribbean Pete’s – our first visit! This is a BYOB place. The food was delicious and perfectly spiced, service attentive and friendly, and a view of the bay and lighthouse to die for. Food portions were generous. We tried the jerk chicken wings, creole blackened catch of the day (red snapper), and the seared mahi mahi. Both of the fish dishes came with rice, beans, and sweet plantains. We loved the food and will definitely be back! They also have outside dining option too. And it’s right on the bay.

Fresh food deliciously made to order with amazing servers to boot! Caribbean Pete never disappoints. Having been born and raised here, my husband and I have tried every restaurant this area has to offer. I can confidently say this spot is the best around! If you’re looking to kick back, relax, and enjoy truly fresh, made from scratch dishes, look no further. Bring your own wine, beer, or favorite spirit and let your hosts handle the rest! Caribbean Pete actually seasons all of his creations with his heart and will not serve you any bland, boring, or prepackaged, frozen crap. My only gripe is they aren’t open all year!

Caribbean Pete’s is an absolute gem! As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The food is fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic Caribbean flair—every dish tastes like it was made with real care. The jerk wings were a favorite! Their portions are generous, the seasonings are spot-on, and the flavors are bold without being overwhelming.

The staff is just as impressive as the menu. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and truly attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, Caribbean Pete’s consistently delivers great service and delicious food.

If you’re in the Waretown area, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

We went for Sunday Lunch on a day when there was a Songwriter Open Mic. The food was outstanding as I had the Mahi Tacos and my wife had the Shrimp Tacos. The Server was very attentive and always available. The restaurant was quite full of people enjoying the music and the food. The atmosphere was designed to be like Key West, and if you looked out the window, and across the bay, you could see the Barnegat Lighthouse. It felt like we were on an island. They do an absolute fantastic job from their kitchen to the dining room. The music was an added plus. This is one of the very few places on the Jersey Shore that supports local Musicians that create their own music.

My family and I were out on the boat and got caught in a storm. We docked at Key Harbor Marina and found refuge in Caribbean Pete’s Island Grille. The employees and owner were great and let us hang out until the storms passed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be stuck for over an hour.

The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a waterfront restaurant; great tunes, incredible views, and good vibes. The menu had a wide variety of options. We had an order of Jamaican wings, which were outstanding, and a few lava cakes and key lime pies. Everything was delicious!

If you’re looking for a new waterfront restaurant, give this hidden gem in Waretown a try!
