I came in Sunday for lunch after church and ordered my food no problem but when they brought it to me the girl that brought it to the table stunk like a freaking box of cigarettes and that kinda ruined my appetite! The food was okay I could’ve went to water burger to eat and would’ve been cheaper and probably tasted a bit better! And the sweet tea they don’t brew they get it from gallons. I will probably not be coming back. They also put tomatoes in my burger when I said NO TOMATOES!

We decided to go here for lunch with the kids. The restaurant looks clean and inviting. My son order a pizza that he said was delicious. I had the country fried steak and it was flavorless. The fries it without seasoning the meat or batter. My father menriones his creole steak was also lackibg flavor and bland. Everything that i had needed seasoning. I was very disappointed bc it looked very good. I took it home to season. Nice, clean restrooms.

First time ive had roosters. It was pretty good. The burger was cooked really good and was a fresh handmade patty. I would say the patty and bun were a 5. My problem with the burger was that it had no sauce on it at all. It didn’t even have ketchup. They had mustard on the table and gave me a packet of mayonnaise, but no ketchup. The menu showed that you could buy extra sauce but it didn’t list any of the sauces. I got the mashed potatoes and gravy as my side, which wasn’t bad but it was kind of bland. I had to put a good bit of salt and pepper on them. I know they just opened so I expect they will get it done right.
They also need to add some descriptions to their menu Items. They have things listed like the stupid burger, nacho burger, and the fryfecta, but it gives no description. I don’t really want to ask the cashier to explain everything on the menu and hold up the line.

Rooster’s and Basil’s are both amazing! They are in the same building together but you have to order from separate counters. Gets very busy and has limited seating. The chicken tenders from Rooster’s are the best I have had. Avoid dinner time or go earlier than normal. Staff is usually very friendly. Food portions are huge, in my opinion.

Basil’s and Rooster’s is finally open, and it’s all in one building under one roof. Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, a sandwich on one of their made-in-house buns, or a plate, you’re gonna find something you like!
I’ve been trying to eat healthier, so I got him their grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss and mushrooms on a Jalapeños bun. I got the hamburger steak, cooked medium. Hands down one of THE BEST hamburger steak I’ve had around!!! Meat was nicely seasoned, cooked perfectly medium, super juicy, and that gravy was thick and very good!

Start off with the positives. It’s clean, roomy, and the staff is very friendly. The burger tasted very good!
The negative. Lack of taste and flavor with the side of red beans and rice. It had ZERO taste. Other than the jalapenos there was no taste/flavor….bland bland bland. We also ordered curly fries and it was the same, zero taste. They didn’t have a salty nor seasoned taste at all and were just bland. Disappointed with the lack of flavor. I remember the original restaurant had the best red beans and rice in Jackson, this might be the worst red beans and rice in Rankin County…..just disappointed in the lack of flavor compared to what I remember.

Placed an online order at 4 pm to pick up at 4:30 pm. Got there at 4:35 pm. Ordered a salad, burger, and a kids chicken tender meal. The chicken on my salad was cold (normally it’s hot) and my daughter’s chicken and fries were dry, hard, and cold like they have been sitting out for a long while. Talking rock hard, can’t eat. Cold, hard chicken. She’s 18 months. Paid $38 total for the things we got. I’ve had previous raw chicken served to me here and tonight decided to give it a second chance but we won’t be back. I also stood at the counter at pick up for a while before someone asked me what I was there for. I’m just upset.

Atmosphere is severely lacking compared to the original. Feels like any other generic fast casual place.
Burger was decent but not amazing. Chicken strips were mid as well. Fries were the highlight.
