Had an absolute awesome experience at Sweet Rack Smokin Butts BBQ brick-and-mortar restaurant. Owner Josh, right-hand man Chris with Chef Chris in the background doing an absolute awesome job. The decor align the walls all of Josh’s awards, see the video. Most importantly the barbecue and the fixings were all on point. We also had their smoked beans and mashed potatoes which were killer. The sauce is just the right amount of Tang and the pork ribs. Staff was extremely friendly and we’re always asking if there’s anything else they can do. We had lots of different items to choose from that we all kind of choose and ate off each other’s plates to get a wide variety. From the time we entered the restaurant, the young lady at the front counter stand, Maddie, was very lively, bright and very customer service friendly. She had a bright smile on her face and there was a never-ending flow of customers coming in. Roughly seats about 40. Couple of high top tables, regular small tables of four that you can put together. And a couple of couches made these experience very nice and friendly. From the tall glassware, to the black serving plates and black utensils it was a very awesome atmosphere. We will definitely be back here to support Owner Josh. Keep up the great work.

I know you’ve heard of Sweet Racks & Smoking Butts BBQ food truck and, if you’ve had their food, you know how good it is. It seems they spend a lot of time locally at Trail Point Brewing (Allendale, MI) with their mobile truck.
Highly recommend visiting them at their new place in Grandville, right off 28th St, not far from Standale. Excellent and reasonably priced for the quality (and quantity) of food you’ll receive for your money. Excellent service as well. And they have the good crunchy ice!
And the best potato salad I’ve ever eaten.

A new bbq place in the Oakestown Center shops. A small place where you order at the council when you walk in and they bring it out to you.
I ordered the Bert-rito ($12). The lady at the counter put in The Bert ($11), and I didn’t notice. The difference is in a wrap vs on a bun. It has Pulled pork, onions, BBQ sauce, and Mac n Cheese. The pulled pork was very good. The mac n cheese goes surprisingly well in a sandwich. My only issue was the sauce was only sparingly dabbed on. It definitely needed more. I wanted to get baked beans, but they were sold out of them at 1pm on a Friday. I got the mashed potatoes, which were good with a slight spice to them.
The service overall was friendly.
Overall a 4 star review. I came on their 1st week open and they definitely still have kinks to work out. I definitely believe they have potential and I will be back. Potential for an upgrade in my review rating with a few minor tweaks.

I tried the pork belly and the brisket and it was good. Sides were great and enjoyed the sauce. Service was quick and friendly. I’d recommend to anyone looking to try some bbq in GR.

The meat is so tender it basically falls apart out of pure respect for your fork. The smoke flavor? Perfect. Not “I accidentally licked a campfire,” but “someone here deeply understands the sacred art of BBQ.” The sauces deserve their own fan club, and I would absolutely buy them by the gallon if given the chance.
The portions are generous, the sides are not an afterthought (looking at you, sad coleslaw elsewhere), and everything tastes like it was made by people who genuinely care about your happiness. You don’t eat here—you commit to the experience.
By the time you leave, you’re full, smiling, and already planning your next visit. Come hungry, leave happy, and accept that your standards for BBQ will now be permanently higher.

Wow! Our first visit. Greeted warmly upon arrival and followed with awesome customer service throughout our visit. Menu had plenty of options and our meals were both delicious. Prices are very reasonable as well. Hope to be able to get a table once others realize this place is here.

Stopped in today for the first time and it was very good! Will definitely be back! Pulled pork was full of flavor, brisket was juicy and well seasoned, the ribs were perfectly smoked, fell off the bone, and didn’t need any sauce, and the wings were solid. (I personally like my wings crispier while smoked, but the flavors were there for sure!) As with any good BBQ you must have great sides and the mac was one of the best I’ve ever had from a BBQ joint! Creamy, peppery, and the perfect noodle! Also the smoked beans were absolutely delicious! Keep up the great work!

This was our first time at Sweet Racks Smokin’ Butts, and I can easily say it will not be our last! Excellent BBQ and great prices. The food was served incredibly quick, and the service was outstanding. The two waitresses that served us were so kind, caring, and overall just happy to help you. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Can’t wait to come back and try the loaded Mac eventually!

If you need one reason to go here, Dorachos. Other reasons? Everything on the menu is awesome, owner and manager are super friendly and great at what they do! Glad they finally opened a store so I can enjoy in the winter. We love chasing the food truck in the summer!
