The chef Eric had the food ready in no time.
Go here after getting your hair cut next door at N Style!!
The decor is beautiful, the eating area is kept nice and clean, and the service is friendly but the food… the food is just not up to par. It’s not that anything tasted particularly bad (more bland) but for ‘that’ price and the size of the meal, it’s just not worth it. I had the BugerFi Cheese Burger & onion rings. Now I expect to get a decent size burger with all the trimmings for $17 but what I got was small and not impressive at all. I will say that the onion rings are HUGE and that’s awesome considering that most places don’t do onion rings correctly, so it was nice to see that, and the burger meat itself is encouraging, considering it is 100% natural Angus beef but my praise stops there. The patties were tiny, the buns were thin and flat, and their “famous” BurgerFi sauce was seriously nothing to shake a stick at. Another thing that surprised me was that there were absolutely no condiments on the tables, no salt, pepper, ketchup, old bay, nothing but napkins, and when you ask for these things they give you tiny dip cups.
All in all, it feels like the concept was well thought out but the execution just fell flat. I honestly get a better tasting, better value meal at Five Guys, Famous Daves or America’s Best Wings.
I wish you guys the best but I don’t think I’ll be a repeat customer.
I finally decided to check them out today. I arrived around 11:45ish. I was thinking to myself as I was walking up to the door….I hope there isn’t a line. I walk in. The place is empty. There were 2 customers at the register, but no one was sitting down. I thought….well maybe it’s a lil early for a lunch rush. The cashier was nice. I ordered a single cheeseburger with mustard, grilled onions, and chilli. I also ordered the cry + fry and a banana milkshake. When I saw the price of my meal, I gave the cashier a side eye/raised eyebrow combo. I thought to myself….this better be a damn good hamburger for $18. I have no problem paying $20 if I’m getting $20 worth. My hamburger was smaller than I thought it would be for $7. The order of cry + fry was a good size. The banana milkshake was an average size. The hamburger wasn’t bad. It was cooked medium well. I love my chilli cheeseburger sloppy, but there really wasn’t that much topping on the burger. I thought they forgot to put the toppings on my burger, but it was just a small amount that you had to lift the bun up to see. The fries were hot out the grease and pretty good. My onion rings were not bad. My banana milkshake was good.
All in all, I would say the food is good, but not great. If I pay $17 & change for a burger and fries, I want “great”. I’m not really a “boutique restaurant”, as I like to call them, type person. A lot of the new restaurants that opened over here in the new shopping center are the same (boutique-ish)….high priced, small portions, average tasting. Now, I love food! I will gladly pay the high price, but I want my money’s worth. I actually spend that much on a meal regularly. However, the portion I get is huge and the food is excellent. I would love to see this place succeed. It doesn’t matter how fancy your neighborhood gets. You can’t charge that much for average burgers and fries and stay in business for too long. It’s worked for them in many other areas though, but hopefully they will do well here. They definitely need to do some daily specials or something to get more people in the door.
I would recommend that you give this place a try. You can definitely get full off the meal, which is always good. If you don’t mind paying for a good hamburger, then this place is for you. Thank you Burgerfi and welcome to Laurel, MD.
The side orders are big and plenty to share between 2 or even 3 guests.
It seemed like everyone working there had a good time. I wish the burgers actually were a bid bigger matching the sides.
