I came in for lunch and was just so impressed by everything! The food, the service the atmosphere. True unique and indigenous flare! I stuck to the vegan menu and ordered what my server, Jaro recommended. The poblano which was absolutely to die for. Usually I need extra sauce for things like this and I definitely didn’t! The only thing I would possibly recommend is serving a few tortillas or a starch with it to use with all the sauce!

I ordered the vegan chocolate mousse with berries and again was so delicious, I didn’t want it to end!

Thank you so much Jaro and chefs!!

This is a hidden gem. We were walking in the square and chanced upon it. The service was top-notch and the food was locally sourced. My favorite part was that it was indigenous owned and the food had so much flavor! I really enjoyed conversing with the owner of the restaurant who is absolutely phenomenal and the service was incredible. Still thinking about the delicious, absolutely unique food. Can’t wait to go back.

Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Literally everything we had was outstanding and we are coming back before leaving town! We had the Vegan Adovada, Mole Verde, fingerling potatoes, and the sweet corn crème brûlée. Would give more than 5 stars if possible. Not nearly enough people eating here for how incredible it is! Don’t miss eating here – we aren’t from New Mexico, but it would be well worth a long drive too.

Excellent, unique dining experience. The trout included the head and pectoral fin, tho it was de-boned and crusted in blue cornmeal. Braised hibiscus flowers were totally new to us. The Luna Lemon beverage was very intense. All the flavors were excellent. The fry bread was somewhat tougher than we had experienced either at the Pueblo or on the Navajo reservation, but nicely adorned with fruit sauce.
On the website the menu was outdated (it changes every few months) but that will soon be corrected.
Although we arrived soon after opening we were slow to be seated, slower to take our order, and had to remind them that they had made coffee for us.

La Luna is INCREDIBLE. If you are visiting Taos, you need to come here. The food is so fresh and is like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. We had the vegan adovada and mole verde, sweet corn crème brulee, prickly pear sour, and mulberry mule. All of it was amazing. The atmosphere was so nice, definitely recommend the cubbies for a fun date night.

Came with a large group. Everyone enjoyed their food (traditional and vegan options). I opted for the Prairie Cassoulet and really enjoyed it. Others raved over the Roasted Stuffed Poblano (pictured).

Wonderful service and delicious food. The only complaint I have is the really loud lady that forgot our water and one of the cocktails. But otherwise, our main server Jarro was really nice and attentive. He also let us switch tables. I really enjoyed the bison steak and the land and sea dish was great. We picked the deviled duck eggs for an appetizer and they were very good. It’s a bit pricey but the food makes up for it. Recommend trying it out!

A very unique dining experience, very well curated menu, and a whole lot of passion behind every recipe!

There was live music the night I went!

I will be chiming about this place for a while and definitely will be back to Taos, also to eat at La Luna!

My experience at La Luna @ La Fonda was nothing short of incredible. I ordered the bison ribs (was so good I forgot to take pictures) it was almost fall off the bone it was juicy and tender. The zucchini was well seasoned and crunchy. The mashed potatoes got some of the juice from the ribs making them taste very good. For dessert we ordered pineapple upside down, chocolate mousse and a berry pie. I tried all of them and without a doubt the pineapple upside down cake was the best it had an amazing texture and the flavor even better. The crust on the berry pie was perfect and the taste was very good as well. The chocolate mousse was creamy and chocolaty. The atmosphere was quiet so we could talk, there was also live music. The service was wonderful and they even told us about how they had the ideas for the menu options. The waitress was very kind and welcoming to us, was a great experience can’t wait to go back!
