Rarely do I give 5 stars, but this place deserves 6! How is there not a line around the corner to get into this hidden gem! Where to start? Well, exactly where I did: the Pumpkin Caramel Espresso Martini met my best expectation of what that combination would taste like. The rest of the meal did not meet expectations; it blew right past them! If you are a fan of fried calamari, as I am, the Mediterranean Calamari from Constantine’s was otherworldly: fresh, simple, yet with the perfect blend of Mediterranean flavors I had no idea were possible in calamari! Unfortunately, it will ruin every other calamari I eat outside of Constantine’s, as it was by far the best I’ve ever had! Next, the main dish: Steak Frites. Asked for medium well and got the juiciest well-done NY strip I’ve had in a long time, so not bad for their only mistake. The steak was truly delicious, and to elevate things, it was served over a bed of Fries, spinach, tomatoes, and a creamy sauce, all bathed in the juices from the NY Strip! Not only did it look inviting, but the result of the presentation was a unique taste that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. Finally, dessert: a small portion of tres leches, tiramisu, and almond cream cake combined in one plate, each separate from the other, all a creamy delight that made me forget I just ate a week’s worth of calories in one meal! All of this feast, where every item was best in class, for a mere $80.51 w/taxes before tip! I ate most of it, even though halfway through I was full, simply because I couldn’t put my fork down for more than a few seconds. In reality, this meal, save for the martini, is more than enough for two hungry adults to share. Portions were not stingy, at all. The restaurant is pleasant inside and out, right on the water, so the ambiance is great, and the service was top-notch. I went on the first snow of the season on a Sunday evening, and it wasn’t busy. Perhaps the service would be less responsive on a busy day, though I have no idea why this place isn’t packed even in a blizzard! Truly a MUST GO TO place if you’re visiting Connecticut. As an outsider (travel nurse) with limited exposure to the area, this is my favorite place that I’ve visited in all of New England. Congrats, staff and proprietor, you have created something truly special here. NEVER change a single thing…

Came here for lunch. Was ok. Drinks were good. My wife liked her buffalo chicken wedge salad. I had the tacos. They were ok. The clam fritters were ok.
Overall, a decent lunch.

The food was phenomenal! 5 stars, well-deserved. I cannot wait to come back! Very high quality meals. Big portions of food at reasonable prices. My husband loved his fresh tuna melt. My baked stuffed shrimp was the best ever! 5 jumbo shrimp with excellent stuffing and a citrus lobster sauce, tender baby asparagus and flavorful seasoned baby roasted potatoes. We were upstairs overlooking Niantic bay. It was all just marvelous!

We stumbled upon this wonderful little restaurant on the waterfront in Niantic, CT. “Contantines’s on the bay” They had the friendliest staff and amazing mussels and a few local IPA’s which were recommended by our waiter Xavier. The beers were great and his amazing service was awesome. It was great meeting Brittany as well. Highly recommend this restaurant if passing by.

I went to Constantine’s to celebrate my mother’s 97th birthday. The food was awesome! But better, yet, was our waiter whose name was Owen. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. At the end of our meal he brought over a lovely piece of cake with a lit candle and ‘Happy Birthday’ written in chocolate on the plate. It made my mother’s night. We were so very appreciative of his kindness. We will visit again soon and recommend Constantine’s to all our friends and family.

Super cute restaurant! The special flatbread of the week was amazing. Stuffies, a little different than what you expect but still delicious! French onion soup was delicious but very rich. Obvious everything was homemade!

Nice place Great view of Long Island sound. Food was OK but a bit overpriced. Sat outside on upper deck. Acela train goes by REALLY fast right in back of the deck.

We loved our experience here. As a long time local, I was hoping that the new management would capture the feeling of the old school Constantine’s we grew up with, and they hit it out of the park. My wife and I dined with our two small girls, and the service was incredible. The food was excellent and drinks filled to the rim. We can’t wait to come back and be regulars once again.
