5 stars is not enough! Interesting, creative Vietnamese food. The ambiance is wonderful; the service flawless.

We had the vegan street corn, which is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Savory, spicy, sweet, spectacular. The stir fried vegetables were also amazing with vegan chili crisp, and fried garlic! Then, the viet crispy crepe – savory, flavorful, light, delicious!

We bought the kitchen staff a drink; it was so good. Highly recommended!

The servers are very nice and understanding here, shoutout to Hailey! For working with such a large party, she did a fantastic job! The food was nice, although I felt somewhat lacking of a dish made from “a chef that was on tv” that they proudly emphasize. Drinks were okay but nothing special. The pandan cake was delicious. Drunken noodles were okay but charging $7 for the equivalent of half a strip of pork belly is very much not worth it.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and it turned out to be the perfect place to celebrate a special night with friends. We went with a large group, which gave us the chance to order a wide variety of dishes and share everything family-style — it was such a fun way to sample so much of the menu!

The flavors were incredible, and I loved how the spice really challenged my palate in the best way. Every bite felt exciting and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere has super cool, vibrant vibes that make the whole experience even better, and the service was absolutely over the top — attentive, friendly, and made us feel celebrated.

The food was amazing across the board, and the mocktails were just as impressive — creative, refreshing, and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to come back and try even more!

I was immensely surprised by the value of this restaurant. It’s got an upscale feel while being very…approachable? All of the plates are shareable and there is a lot of eating with your hands, they DO provide wet wipes.

We had the rice paper pizza, pork skewer, chicken salad and street corn and could have easily fed 3-4 people. We also both had drinks and a shared a dessert and it was only $66, granted we DID do the happy hour but it’s still a WILD value.

I think this could be a fantastic place to take a group, the street corn was some of the best I’ve had and the FRESHNESS of the chicken salad was amazing.

The corn was great; well charred and well seasoned. The chili oil wasn’t spicy at all, if anything it could have been spicier. The crunchy chicken salad was delicious! Great combination of ingredients, and the dressing had a mild vinegar-like taste. Great service too.

Absolutely one of my favorites! The Pho and Drunk noodles are a must. Each time we’ve gone everything is cooked perfectly and delicious. Cocktails are wonderful. Service is great!

Our first visit to Pretty Boy for a birthday dinner won’t be our last! The food was outstanding. Starting with the bok choy dish was a wise choice so we could dip everything in that delicious sauce throughout the meal. The pizza appetizer is a must get item. So unique and tasty. The short ribs were right on point and also came with a delicious sauce. The grilled ribeye was a hit at our table as well. We finished it off with a creative, tasty strawberry sorbet that was the perfect ending. The service was the best we’ve had in Athens in years. Finally, the gin fizz cocktail is a must try item too. Refreshing and light, it paired well with the meal. We can’t wait to try Pretty Boy again!

We arrived and we were able to be seated without a reservation, which was very nice.

Once seated, we had to wait several minutes to be served probably around 8 to 10. We were offered a free appetizer which was very kind of them.

I also ordered a beer and got a glass of wine, which they quickly remedied.

As far as the food goes, somethings were good. Some things were OK.

We ordered the cucumber appetizer, which was nice. Definitely something to split with 2 to 3 people. Definitely also has a kick. I would get this again.

We got the pork skewer as well for an appetizer. It was enjoyable. I would also get this again. The sauce was nice. The pork was tender, and the nuts made a good addition.

For the main course, we split the omelette and the drunken noodles.

The omelette I would get again and it was my first time trying something like this. We got the shrimp and pork mix.

The drunken noodle noodles was very celery salt forward. A little too saucy for my liking. A unique flavor profile that eventually became overwhelming. I wouldn’t get this again.

We tried the pandan cake which we both enjoyed.

All in all, I would give this place a solid, four out of five. The atmosphere is cool. I really like the music. The food is OK. The service was well trained and I really appreciated how everyone worked together.

I would go again

Overall rating: 4.5 stars, rounded to 5.

Modern Vietnamese restaurant that’s a welcome addition to the Athens restaurant scene.
I tried a number of “small shares” and one “large share”. Didn’t try pho on this occasion though I’ve had it earlier.
There wasn’t a single dish that was bad. Some were good and some very good. Their menu isn’t extensive and that I think is a good thing — there are no duds.

The rice paper pizza is quite interesting in that it combines traditional Vietnamese flavors and textures and presents it a novel form. I enjoyed the pear salad as well — the freshness of flavors that one associates with Vietnamese food came through well. But my favorite was the monkfish (large share) dish.

The prices were quite reasonable too!

Hosts/hostesses were absolutely rude to us (don’t get mad at customers when we bring the “your table is ready” text for an inside table and there isn’t a table ready – that’s your mistake not mine). Our server was amazing though! The chicken skins are amazing, but the spicy beef pho was a solid 3 out of 10 in comparison to traditional pho. It was just a really heavy pho.
