I really didn’t want to write a review but the phone number listed won’t go to anywhere and says it’s not valid. A bit frustrating.
I went in and asked the guy working the counter what kind of cheese was on the chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. He said cheese. I asked us, but what kind of cheese. He said regular cheese. I asked, Swiss? American? Cheddar? He said yes, cheddar. It’s Swiss, which I’m glad for but I ate half of my sandwich while driving and couldn’t figure out what was weird about my sandwich. I got home and just got to sit down to finish it and really fought with this bite and realized the cheese still has a layer of paper on it. Yup…. I have eaten half of the paper that was stuck on the cheese. I have a really nice bite mark on the paper and cheese for me to know i truly ate almost all the paper that was stuck to the cheese on my sandwich.
I would have rather just told the store manager quietly and maybe swap out sandwiches but I’m not getting back on the road when I have no clue if they are open later because it’s New Year’s Eve. And I found out the Popeyes down the street from this inner doesn’t even know this stores phone number either. They are franchised stores so they don’t know each other’s addresses or phone numbers. So weird in my mind. Btw, washing your hands is a tough gig here. The water barely comes out. I’ll still eat here but I’m definitely checking for paper and I think eating anymore if this sandwich tonight is a bust for me.
I placed my order at 10:24 pm on the Popeyes app for pick up at store on friday 23th and when I arrived at 10:40 pm the manager tried to convince me an “old man” has already picked up my order. I was confused and I showed her I placed it for pick up not for delivery, she told me I should go home because they were going to deliver my food there. She told me multiple times they couldn’t make the order again because it was going to look like she was stealing. I cannot believe this is how this manager tries to solve a problem, she was having me call corporation because there was nothing she could do since supposedly they had already made the order once and it has already been picked up to deliver it to my house. She even said they showed her the order number and my name, which it was a lie. They just didn’t want to make my order because maybe they had already cleaned everything up and they were ready to go home. After me telling her multiple times that I did not place it for delivery, she tried to close the window because they had a timer of how long they could have the window open for, okay? Not my problem.
I told her I just wanted my food she said they were going to make it again but that it was going to take 10 minutes since the “old man” who picked up my order took the last sandwich they had .
Took over 20 minutes to get 3 chicken pieces and a sandwich. It was obvious she made all this ridiculous story of somebody else picking up my order so that they didnt have to make it because they obviously had put everything away, if not why did the order took over 20 minutes? Also she never apologized and this is a problem that can be fix at the store. Why do I need to call the company to tell them someone else has picked up my order and that I need them to make the order again? This shows lack of professionalism and lack of training to the manager on how to find solutions for problems.
Im never going back to Popeyes. And i will not continue to use their app.
I asked for her name and apparently is “Liz” which i dont even know if they gave me a fake name too.
ALSO BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ORDER COKE ZERO BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE IT BUT THEY STILL OFFER IT ON THE APP AND WILL GIVE YOU REGULAR COKE INSTEAD WITHOUT TELLING YOU.
Waiting standing at the counter for 20 minutes today while they took drive thru orders and online orders. Nobody would even look at me or talk to me as a walk in. Just walked out and drove the 5 minutes to canes.
Avoid this place.
Worst service ! Won’t be going back again
