I love Mahopac Deli, I come every morning for breakfast on my way to work, and recently they started making authentic Indian food, the flavor was amazing. The chicken and curry, the momo’s everything was on point! 100% recommend

Pricing is deceptive and makes no sense.
Was told that an egg and cheese costs $2.99. I ordered a ham egg and cheese, and was told the price is $7.27.
Their excuses made no sense and it was clear they are running a deceptive scam. I have tried many times to presume they are working honestly and talk through the pricing, and I presumed they were working honestly.
They first claimed that it was because I ordered a 2-egg sandwich and they include 1 egg in their sandwiches (that never happened, I just ordered the only egg sandwich option listed on the menu). This is already ludicrous, but their extra egg costs 0.75 cents. Ham costs an additional $1.25. So, the price for the sandwich should have been at most $4.99.
When I brought this up, the guy claimed that $2.99 + 0.75 + 1.25 equaled $7.27. So, I presumed he was being honest and I brought out a calculator to show him he still over two dollars off.
He then made a bunch of excuses about “inflation” and “egg prices” and “supply chain” and it became clear he was just running a scam, illegally displaying one price and charging another.

This place does not look appetizing and seems off. Almost like it’s going out of business. The case is empty. But my issue is that when I ordered a cheese steak sandwich, about 10 minutes later, I was asked what kind of cheese do I want. I knew then I was about to be disappointed, and yes, I was, after waiting another 10 minutes. Probably a good place for a breakfast sandwich or something simple, but this isn’t a real deli by any means.

Situated just off the Taconic with plenty of parking, ideal place for buying a lotto ticket or a quick snack. Coffee is always hot here and sandwiches are made to order. Staff are always very friendly. See for yourself, a pleasant surprise is guaranteed.

Incredibly slow. Went in when it was completely empty, still took them 15-20 minutes to make two sandwiches. When I get in my car and unwrap my sandwich half of it is SOAKED with vinegar and cut so poorly the bottom of the sandwich completely fell apart. The only good part about my experience here was that they gave me my money back. The folks behind the counter weren’t very friendly and seemed completely disinterested in their incredibly simple task. If I could give this place zero stars I 100% would.

I stopped in for a roast beef and Swiss on rye. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt, but the sandwich really wasn’t good. The roast beef was dry and chewy, the bread was stale, dry, and hard. Thought I was eating Sheetrock.
