I’ve lived in the Denali area for 7 years. This place has consistently good food. My favorite is the red or green curry with beef. Spring rolls are always great. I haven’t really tried other things from their menu besides the Pad Thai which is decent

First of all, Chinese Express is cash only and takeout only. Please be aware!

They serve Thai and Chinese food. It is expensive! I got pad Thai for $22. The portion size was good and the taste was fine. Given the lack of food options in the area, I probably would come back again.

This establishment felt like a death trap waiting to happen. The construction did not instill one with confidence – from the exposed beams above, to the hobbit-door entryway. It felt like the ceiling or floor were going to collapse at any moment. I grabbed my noodles and scurried back to my hotel room.

Decent American-style Chinese and Thai food. Avoid trying to customize your order — just ask for menu items. The pricing is not clearly documented, but mains are $20 or $22 depending on your choice of meat. Fried rice is $4, white rice (included) is the default for mains.

Portions are good sized and service is quick.

The benches are sticky but usable.

Unfortunately for the restaurant, the cruise ship tourists aren’t accustomed to anything beyond a hamburger (which is not available at this restaurant). Customers not familiar with the difference between a spring roll and an egg roll might be confused.

Coming off our cruise ship and was really surprised there’s a Chinese and Thai spot right across the street from the Princess Wilderness Lodge. Now considered its location and how difficult it would be to get ingredients, I still think the price is a bit high for what you get. Overall I think the food is edible. Cash only is really annoying. We got 4 dishes and it came out to be around $100.

If you crave for Asian Thai or Chinese, this place serves up pretty good Thai-Chinese meals. The noodles fried with chicken and the tom yam soup were flavorful and recommended. It’s quite pricey though.
They offer some seating space for dining in although they serve in standard to-go packs. Please be aware that they accept only cash.

Being a seasonal worker and going from state to state, this is the place to go if you want a melting pot of taste. It’s comfort food and always avaliable and delicious even in alaska

I usually love small town Chinese food but this was really really bad. We ordered pad Thai, Mongolian beef and potstickers. The pad Thai was bland and mostly rice noodles. The Mongolian beef was sickly sweet, it was like eating rice with maple syrup. The potstickers were the best part but they were just generic grocery store dumplings.

Not sure if they were just having a bad day or not but I would not recommend it for the price. Cash only.

Awesome shrimp pad Thai, very tasty and plenty noodles. A couple more shrimp would have been nice, cooked very well, and flavorful. Their take on Crab Rangoon is amazing. Not the traditional fried grease bomb we’ve come to enjoy. Theirs is very light and flaky pastry “tube” of awesomeness filled with crabby goodness. And their Thai iced tea…sooooooo good. Why only 4 stars??? A little on the pricey side, lack of restrooms, tables needed some attention in the way of cleaning, a fan of some sort in the dining area, no hot sauce readily available, cash only, slight language barrier with the counter staff… little things, but for the price, they shouldn’t exsist. Would I go back, yes…but only on payday.

This is the worst Chinese food I ever tasted in the entire USA. We ordered Teriyaki chicken and one other dish. there is absolutely no sweet flavor but too salty. If you have one other choice for lunch I recommend you to stay away this restaurant and find something else.

Great variety on the menu. The dining tables are wooden and a little sticky. The price was $22 for kung pao chicken. The veggies were fresh, the rice perfect and plenty of chicken. Alaska food is not cheap but it fed the two of us so it was reasonable. Their siracha sauce is good. The staff was attentive and it is a good value. Our friends were happy with their Mongolian beef and cashew chicken. We would come back. Warning! It is cash only
