The space itself is large, beautiful, and incredibly clean, with a modern rustic farmhouse aesthetic. I loved the mix of country and southern pop music playing. The whole place and menu give off a fresh, “new-age country” vibe.
I ordered the gator bites, corn ribs, mac and cheese, and even a frozen margarita to go (yes, just ask ). Everything was delicious and well put together.
I’m really looking forward to coming back, dining in, and exploring more of the menu. Highly recommend.
I ordered a Yuengling because it’s my favorite with BBQ…
And now to the BBQ Brisket. It’s so flavorful, slightly sweet, tender, and smokey that it’s just about divine. The marbling made it juicy and the bark showed a perfect cook.
The corn rice on the side is a great accompanyment, loaded with corn, onion, scallion, and a hint of jus.
The tostones were flattened and fried just right, very crispy and seasoned with salt and pepper. They were a great platform for the sauces.
It came with three sauces; cilantro aioli, JJs smokey BBQ, and signature smoke sauce. All the sauces are made fresh daily in house and are delicious.
Finally, the cornbread was dense and can stand up to gravy, sauce, or on its own. Slightly sweet with a hint of orange, really good!
On top of all the great food, the people here are really wonderful, and they even have karaoke, live music, and more fun things to do.
Bottom line, come here to eat well and have fun.
Inside, the atmosphere is relaxed and stylish with good music and friendly service. Parking is easy since there is a large lot behind the building. I have not eaten outside myself, but there will be soon a shaded patio for anyone who prefers dining outdoors.
This restaurant is an easy recommendation. It works whether you are exploring the parks or simply passing through, and it is a perfect stop when you are hungry from a day out.
This location is new with plenty of parking. However not very visible from the streets.
The price here is high: comparable to a Michelin star fine dining restaurant. So I am going to review with a high bar….
Meat cut choice was very limited: tomahawk, rib eye and new york strip- that’s all. I had the boneless ribeye (wish they had bone-in on the menu)….meat was cooked perfect medium with a deep wood smoke flavor. Meat Seasoning was on point…my corn rice was too oily and salty for me. Sweet potato fries were ordinary….most likely out of frozen bag.
Yucca fries and gator bites appetizers were delightful.
The decor didn’t come together for me… Lot of money spent but some slacks were apparent, such as keeping the fake ceiling, no table cloth, monotonous trims and accents. Like a classy steakhouse, I would’ve liked the menu to utilize ingredients and appetizers such as, mushroom, truffles, asparagus, fresh oyster, real crabmeat, blue cheese, artichoke, palm hearts, etc. Wait times for food was longer than ideal. Kayla was transparent with their new kitchen staff and soft opening status… We were kept entertained… So no big issues there for us.
I had a churrasco and best churrasco I’ve had wow!!
My wife was first to try the brunch and the They outdid themselves , the smoked brisket with eggs and sausage and wow the corn bread was to die for, and to make it better topped with house potatoes
Will be back with more family and friends
