Reviews
The place is tucked in the outskirt of the main Tropicana casino floor. One has to walk the whole floor to get here.
Not super popular though because it’s pretty expensive ($10 miso soup anyone???)
Food was pretty good! For appetizers, we enjoyed the Chili Wontons, Gyoza, Miso Soup and Butabara Yakator. For main dish, the Galbi Ribs were delicious—well flavored, huge portion and the fries were delicious too! Sushi rolls were okay, we did not like the Ossu Roll much—the guacamole added on top made the overall taste weird. The Sushi & Sashimi platter was good. We were celebrating my birthday and they brought out ice cream mochi with a candle to celebrate, which was so sweet!
However, I feel it’s important to mention an unfortunate moment we witnessed. The hostess at the entrance, Banexa, did not act professionally. She spoke to bartender Debra in an inappropriate tone right in front of us, which was uncomfortable and completely out of line with the excellent service offered by the rest of the team.
Special places like Ossu Asian Tavern can be overshadowed by unprofessional behavior, especially when it contrasts with the outstanding work of employees like Debra and Kathleen. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the restaurant has an exceptional team and a wonderful atmosphere worth preserving.
Still, I want to express my sincere appreciation for Debra and Kathleen, who made our experience memorable and truly worth recommending.
The waiters and waitresses here are friendly and attentive.
The bathroom door won’t lock.
None of the food is authentic or tasty. It is in a casino after all?
It’s impossible to reach their phone line. I kept being redirected multiple times for more than 30 mins and yet couldn’t reach their phone line for a reservation modification.
