We heard about VIA Italia through a friend, and since we wanted some good Italian food, we decided to make the drive to White Oak.
The food is all handmade. Everything is made at the restaurant except the meat. The salad is created fresh and not a bag that’s dumped into a bowl. We both got the Chicken Parmesan (which comes with spaghetti and salad), and it was delicious. Freshly made and plenty of it. It’s rare that I take home any food, but with this, I did.
They say a lot of their customers come from other towns, and I can see why.
If you’re looking for great Italian food, then this is the place to go.

Via Italia never disappoints!! Everything we have tried has been absolutely wonderful. The chef is conscientious and puts great pride into his dishes and always is so personable. If you want high quality, authentic Italian food go check them out!!
Thought I would add some pictures since we celebrated a birthday at Via Italia this week and I remembered to take pics. If you are looking for a family friendly place to eat or even a date night with top notch food I highly recommend checking them out. They are on White Oak Road right across from the high school and close at 8:00 so get there early and enjoy authentic Italian!!

The food was so delicious and it’s made fresh daily. The chef explained everything about each dish he makes. You can also take an alcoholic beverage but you have to bring it in and you have to open it. If you are bringing wine must bring your own glass. This restaurant is a must try if you love Italian food.

New review 1/26/24: this visit was just okay, not like our other visits. Bread/sauce was brought out; we asked did we not get a salad and his wife said “oh you want salad?” Before the salad was a good portion with cheese, but this time it only had lettuce. The sauce was bland; his flavors weren’t there as before but the bread was still delicious; my spaghetti w meatballs were just okay; the dish lacked flavor, there was little sauce, and the meatballs didn’t taste homemade (I’ll stick with the meat sauce); my husband said his lasagna was still A1. I asked for more bread as before & the wife looked like that wasn’t allowed, but she brought bread and no sauce. We asked for lemons for my husband’s water and was told they had none. Something seemed off this visit; I hope that it gets better soon because we love this place. I still recommend because there will be hits and misses. I miss the flavorful sauce and cheese on my salad. His wife is so fiesty, funny, and sweet; she made our night. We will return.
*Don’t be deterred by the gas station that it’s joined to.THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM FOR SURE. The atmosphere was quaint & chef Armon was nice & personable. He recommends meals to you, and tell you what’s in them. It’s BYO wine/glasses. Pizza’s only sold on Fridays/Saturdays. Mostly everything is HOMEADE. His seasoning is good. I’ve tried several authentic Italian restaurants,& chef Armon didn’t disappoint! The salad w/homemade house dressing & homemade cheese was so good, the best sauce/bread that melts in your mouth. I had the meat sauce spaghetti which he suggested I try;my husband had the best lasagna.
Thanks All Things Longview recommended.

We’re so glad decided to investigate this place off the beaten path! This was the best Italian food I’ve eaten in Texas! You can actually taste how the pasta is made from scratch, and all the ingredients are fresh, instead of being from a jar. I don’t see myself wanting to go to anywhere else for Italian food. We had the Pasta Faglioli, which has chicken, shrimp, mushrooms and some kind of sausage, in creamy sauce, absolutely delicious! My husband had the Meat Lasagna, and said it was one of the best he’s ever tasted. The owner was super helpful in explaining the options to us, and giving great suggestions, and the service was great. If you get the chance do show up and try it out for yourselves, you won’t regret it!

Nice place to get fresh Italian food! Reasonably priced and soooo good. I had the Chicken Alfredo and it was so good, friends had Shrimp Alfredo which are large shrimp and looks like a different Alfredo sauce but they said it was very good! Rolls are homemade tasting and served with marinara sauce, side salad, they said the house dressing is very good! Definitely will be back. It was a little warm in there, but overall the experience was fantastic definitely worth going to vs just the franchise Italian restaurants you can really taste the difference of from “scratch”/homemade. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
